2015-06-22 13:00:00 (link to chat) | At what point do you start to really worry about D.J. Peterson? He's been pretty horrible, and the Mariners are notoriously bad at developing bats. (Patrick from Texas) | I dont worry too much about the mariners track record, though when it gets to a certain extent, it's something worth noting. His struggles this year are concerning though. I saw him in the AFL this fall and liked him but didn't love love the bat, considering it has to carry him. He doesn't offer much with the glove, so he has to hit and I like the bat I just didn't love it. If it's all he's offering, you have to love it. I haven't seen him this season so I don't know what;s going on there but the struggles are become more prolonged than I expected. He's a better hitter than this. (Jeff Moore) |
2015-06-02 18:00:00 (link to chat) | What range would you rank these guys now compared to their preseason rank: Difo, D.J. Peterson, Alex Jackson, Fisher, Brad Zimmer, Hoffman, and Honeywell. Thank you! (Pat from Texas) | Difo, Zimmer, Hoffman, Fisher and Honeywell all take jumps up. Peterson takes a hit and Alex Jackson's stock took a serious hit. (Mauricio Rubio) |
2015-04-29 20:00:00 (link to chat) | Is D.J. Peterson ever going to hit enough to be a top-12 fantasy first baseman? (John from Seattle) | It's close, but I'll say no. And that's if things work out well. (Bret Sayre) |
2015-04-29 20:00:00 (link to chat) | Someone is dying for some prospects, and also happens to have George Springer on his team. I can offer him Brad Zimmer, Brett Phillips, Derek Fisher, Matt Wisler, D.J. Peterson, Derek Hill, and some other top-90 MLB OF's like Crawford and Fowler. Which of those guys should I give him for Springer? (Danny from OK) | I'd trade Zimmer while his value is hot. You'd probably have to give up less overall that way. (Bret Sayre) |
2014-08-25 13:00:00 (link to chat) | D.J. Peterson doesn't seem to get any respect from the prospect ranking community. What gives? I realize he is not a great fielder or amazing athlete but production never lies. Are these the same morons that thought Jose Abreu didn't have enough bat speed? Or that Hosmer was going to be better than Freeman after Freeman already had legit MLB seasons. Production never lies hommie :) (Matt from Toledo) | I can't speak to him from a scouting perspective but Peterson hasn't done a lot above A ball yet which is probably why some are wary. I do agree about production, although I do look at Peterson's .250 or so BA so far in AA and wonder if that's something he'll need to improve. Seattle prospects move into a tough hitting environment from a friendly one in AAA. Most struggle initially. (Mike Gianella) |
2014-08-25 13:00:00 (link to chat) | D.J. Peterson is a top 25 prospect! Admit it! #production #rake (maicunni from Toledo) | ask the prospect guys or the other guys on the fantasy team. unless they're studs, my prospect knowledge below AA isn't in their class. (Mike Gianella) |
