2014-08-29 12:00:00 (link to chat)Dynasty league question. Which young Red Sox pitcher has a better chance of decent fantasy value going forward Allen Webster or Anthony Ranaudo? I've been a little underwhelmed with Ranaudo's stuff in the games I've seen him pitch, but his command is at least marginally better than Webster, who has the better overall stuff.
(Jon from BC)
Webster, but I say that as someone who isn't high on Ranaudo. (R.J. Anderson)
2014-07-31 19:30:00 (link to chat)Hey Ben, What can we expect from Anthony Ranaudo fantasy-wise the rest of the season? Does he have a spot in the rotation locked up this year or is Friday's call up just a spot start? Thanks.
(Mike83 from NC)
Buchholz, RDLR and Kelly are probably the only locks, with Ranaudo, Webster and Workman battling it out for spots 4-5. I just threw up in my mouth. I think Ranaudo is the most ready to pitch as a starter in the majors now, even if Webster has the higher upside and Workman has more experience. Ranaudo's an ok add in deep mixed or AL-only leagues, but he's a back-end starter for sure. (Ben Carsley)
2014-04-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)Is Matt Barnes a starter for the Red Sox in 2015? He seems to be close, one pitch shy of making an impact.
(John from CT)
I do think he'll be in the rotation next season. I still believe in him as a starter, particularly if he's competing with Allen Webster and Anthony Ranaudo for a slot. In the end, he's probably a mid-rotation guy that still carries significant value. (Mark Anderson)
2013-09-27 13:00:00 (link to chat)Anthony ranaudo or Henry Owens or Blake swihart. Who do you ask for in a trade with the Red Sox
(Larry from Boston)
Owens or Swihart would be my choice. I'm not an Anthony Ranaudo believer. (Mark Anderson)
2013-06-25 13:00:00 (link to chat)I was surprised that Anthony Ranaudo was excluded from the list. What is your view of him?
(Mark from Washington )
It appears he has returned to his previous form, but the health issues of the past are also a part of the question marks of the present. Can he stay healthy? (Jason Parks on the Midseason Top 50 Prospects)
2013-05-16 13:00:00 (link to chat)What do you make of Anthony Ranaudo's recent run of form? Back from the dead?
(Aaron from LB)
It seems that way, but I'm hesitant to go all in on him yet. Let's see if he can stay healthy. (Jason Parks)

2013-05-02 13:00:00 (link to chat)Thoughts on the strong start in 2013 for Anthony Ranaudo?
(dianagram from VORGville)
It's very promising and good to see for a guy who had somewhat fallen off the national radar after last season. The early stuff has been good, too; Zach Mortimer wrote after Ranaudo's April 27 start that he was 91-94 with good downward plane and a quality curveball. All signs point to him being back on track.
