(misterbob from pa)		I'm luke hot on Dahl, if that makes sense. I think his approach and swing holes make for one of those combinations that big-league pitchers tend to exploit pretty well after an off-season of scouting book adjustments. And the Rockies' outfield is kind of awkward right now, in that all four top options are left-handed hitters (as is Tapia, who's probably ostensibly 5th), so I'm not sure I see a path to full time starts unless he absolutely crushes the ball and forces Parra to the bench.

Perez I find myself holding a bunch of shares in all of a sudden, and I'm not entirely sure how it happened, but I'm not complaining, either. I think he can provide a bunch of value as a utility guy that gains a bunch of eligibility this year. I like the profile. (Wilson Karaman)

(Kenny from Pasadena)		I'm shocked by all the home runs but the park is good for that and perhaps he can be a 10 home run, 25 steal middle infielder going forward. It's more likely that he slips next year but a future that exceeds expectations as a second division regular is well within his grasp. (Mike Gianella)

2014-05-27 11:30:00 (link to chat)What do you see Hernan Perez as? I see he's raised his BB% and the strikeouts remain fairley low. I liked him in his short stints in Detroit last year, seemed like he played above avg defence. They gave him some time at short this year until the Suarez callup. Future utility man?

(Bob from LA)		If the Tigers are serious about making another run at a World Series, I think they need to do one of two things -- assuming the number one thing is a healthy Miguel Cabrera -- and that's either find an offense upgrade at second base or left field. If they do something big in left field, then they can probably survive with Perez at second base. If they need some offense out of the position, that's not going to end well. He's not ready in that respect, and I'm not sure he's ever going to have the bat to be more than utility guy. (Mark Anderson)
