2021-02-04 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Who are the best prospects that will get a look in 2021? (Tyler from Vancouver) | Many will get a look, some earlier than others. Obviously, players who debuted last year will be back, including Nick Madrigal, Dylan Carlson, Sixto Sanchez, Randy Arozarena, Ian Anderson, Ryan Mountcastle, Ke'Bryan Hayes, Daulton Varsho, etc. Another top-prospect early 2021 debut likely is Andrew Vaughn. Otherwise, our ETAs should help guide the search for potential 2021 impact players, though some likely will not debut until well after the All-Star break (Wander Franco, Jarred Kelenic, Julio Rodriguez, etc.). 2020-09-25 16:00:00 (link to chat) | In a 14 team weekly h2h dynasty points league which of these players would you roster going into next season for a club well-positioned to win now and going forward - Nate Lowe, Hunter Dozier, Randy Arozarena and Jake Cronenworth are all currently on my roster. Available are Hampson, A Riley, McMahon, Jesus Aguilar, Jared Walsh, Brendan Rodgers, Willie Calhoun and Leody Taveras. I am also currently rostering Oneil Cruz and wondering if I should hold on a bit longer given his uncertain legal status.
My current prospects include Vaughn Brujan Cruz and KRobInson. Prospects still available include Alek Thomas Brennen Davis Jordan Groshans and Corbin Carroll.
Thanks for considering the question,
Dylan (dylanrox from Philly) | Some very enticing options there. For the MLBers, I really like Calhoun and Taveras--they'll be on a bad Texas team next year, but they should be centerpieces in that lineup. I would get in on Riley; the power upside is worthwhile even if the average will kind of suck. And I'd get in on Rodgers as well--we just haven't seen a healthy version of him for an extended run in the majors. Hampson and McMahon haven't really wowed, even with the Coors advantage, Walsh feels a bit flash-in-the-pan (but I'm prepared to be wrong there!), and Aguilar could be OK for a couple more years, but his skills should be easy enough to find. Of the prospects, I am heavy into Carroll, though I like all those names. I'd probably wait on Cruz's situation for a few weeks before cutting, but it isn't looking good right now. (Jon Hegglund) |
2019-08-23 15:30:00 (link to chat) | The Cardinals outfield is loaded, with Dylan Carlson going bonkers, do you ever see Tyler O'Neil or Randy Arozarena being full time contributors or expect them to be role players. (Dom from St.Louis) | Ozuna is going to be a free agent, and Edman is flexible enough to play all over, so yeah I can see one of them getting enough time to be most of a regular. That kind of depth is enviable, though. (Craig Goldstein) |
2018-09-12 13:00:00 (link to chat) | I was put onto Josh James from the Astros by Carson Cistulli and @hunt4prospects on Twitter, among others. First: do you think James is legit? Small sample obviously, but his seven innings have been pretty great. And second: do you have any prospects that you're really into and will vouch for that aren't on lists anywhere? (Sam from Ontario) | I like what James as done so far, but Houston is another tough pitching staff to break into. I've been tossing around ideas for a piece on big hit tool guys that haven't necessarily hit for power in the minor leagues, and that's a profile I'm really into right now. Garrett Hampson, Adam Haseley, Vidal Brujan, Randy Arozarena are all guys I'm looking at. (Mark Barry) |
2018-04-27 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Better future: Jose Siri, Joe Dunand, or Randy Arozarena? Asking for a friend. (Kanye West from Mar-a-Lago) | I'd probably take Siri for the upside play. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
