2015-07-28 18:00:00 (link to chat) | Casey Meisner, just acquired by the A's in the deal for Clippard ... what's your take on his ceiling? Thanks! (delatopia from the 415) | Potential for a 4 starter, which does have value and it's a good get for a reliever. Likely going to have a long developmental path. (Mauricio Rubio) |
2015-06-02 18:00:00 (link to chat) | Who do you think has the bigger upside between Casey Meisner and Stephen Gonsalves? (RDBL2014 from Concord, CA) | I think Meisner has more upside but I would still rather have Gonsalves. Meisner's done good work on his command early and if he can get his body under control he's going to jump up lists. That said I think Gonsalves has shown a lot in his own right so far in 2015 and he has three pitches that can be major league quality. (Mauricio Rubio) |
2014-07-03 19:00:00 (link to chat) | I just moved a couple prospects in trades in a league where 300+ prospects are owned. Which of these 2013 draft picks may be worth rostering? Jordan Paroubeck, Riley Unroe, Dom Nunez, Thomas Milone, Nick Longhi, Cody Bellinger, Dillon Overton, Casey Meisner, Hunter Green, and Chris Kohler? (username49 from Ohio) | Milone is the guy that jumps out at me. He's super raw and so very far away but he is the guy that jumped from this list. (Mauricio Rubio) |
2014-05-13 11:00:00 (link to chat) | With short season ball coming next month, other than this years draftees, which pitchers are you most looking forward to? (Tjco from Mattress Factory across from the Goldsteins ) | I'm dying for short-season ball to start, and selfishly, I can't wait to see the arms slated for Brooklyn, such as Marcos Molina and Casey Meisner. (Jason Parks) |
2014-03-03 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Any true similiarites between Casey Meisner and Noah Syndergaard? Aside from being native texans! They have similar builds (obviously, Meisner may still grow another inch or so and will definitely add some weight, as Thor did in the last year plus). And was Syndergaard pegged a Potenial 1/2 starter when he was first drafted? (MetsFaithful5 from Syracuse) | They are both tall. Different bodies and arsenals. Syndergaard could be a 1/2 type; I put a mid-rotation ceiling on Meisner. (Jason Parks on the Completed Prospect Rankings) |
