| Underdeveloped body; skinny and long; likely to remain skinny throughout developmental process; half-windup; fluctuating slot (high 3/4-3/4); some cross-fire in the release and big fall-off to 1B side; Jered Weaver mechanical comp from a Brandon McCarthy body; chest high frontside offers some pickup deception; good arm action; quick arm; really like the extension potential here; good PHP; 1.35-1.5 release with runners on first; strong competitor on the mound. |

Fastball worked in the upper-80s; touched a little higher but effort late in the six inning start to get over 90 mph; cross-fire in the delivery, with big fall-off to 1B side in follow-through; worked outer-third and up; struggled to hit anything on arm-side in; because of delivery, fastball had some cutting action but lacked sink and was straight when up; didn't show strong command ability; effective at changing sight lines but it wasn't on purpose; can create very steep plane when he works down but struggled to do so; best pitch was 90 mph FB that he spotted down in the zone; excellent extension and plane; below-average pitch at present but should bump/hold velocity with more strength; can't teach his length and extension ability. Bet on a plus pitch here. |

Looked more like a soft slider than a true curveball; never showed traditional curveball depth or bite; slurvy pitch with more horizontal sweep; showed more confidence in offering than fastball; one-in-three thrown for strikes; good change-of-pace pitch against LH; would try to front-door pitch to RH; more deliberate in the release; slows body and arm in delivery; short-season bats were fooled by velocity separation/not the intensity of the break; didn't see him stay over the ball and snap it down like a good CB; more of a soft slider in this outing but his comfort level with the pitch was impressive. Could get to average in its current form but I doubt this is the breaking ball that he is still carrying with him at the end of the developmental day. |

Limited look; arsenal was heavy FB/breaking ball; noticeably deliberate with secondary arsenal; CH was soft and up in look; not enough to grade; didn't see big enough action to get excited in the small sample. |

String-bean body with some physical projection (strength) but I don't see a big fill-out happening; fastball will be a plus pitch with more strength; excellent extension potential; Weaver-esque cross-fire in the delivery and big falloff to 1B side in follow-through but shows athleticism and has a chance to repeat and find consistency; 91-93 with steep plane could be highly effective table-setting fastball; secondary arsenal is immature; wasn't impressive with soft slurve but can applaud his confidence in the offering and willingness to use it against both LH/RH and in fastball counts. Hard to project at this point; I see a different breaking ball developing; Shows some pitchability despite the immature physical body and overall below-average command. I like it. Long developmental road (won't move fast) and likely to have a low floor based on physical immaturity. #4 starter looks like the ceiling based on initial look; AA starter floor.
