  • Mets recalled INF Wilfredo Tovar from Double-A Binghamton.
  • Brewers claimed RHP Josh Ravin off waivers from the Reds.
  • Brewers designated C/INF Blake Lalli for assignment.
Injury Updates:

National League:

  • Mets SS Ruben Tejada is not expected to require a surgical procedure for his broken right fibula.
  • 3B David Wright (hamstring) is expected to return to the Mets' starting lineup on Friday night.
  • 1B Allen Craig (foot) is not expected to rejoin the Cardinals during their current road trip.
  • Cubs C Welington Castillo (knee) will be examined Friday.
  • Nationals SP Stephen Strasburg (forearm) threw off flat ground Thursday and is on track to start Saturday against the Marlins.

American League:

  • X-rays taken Thursday afternoon on Tigers SS Jose Iglesias' left hand showed no fractures of any kind.
  • Mariners SP Felix Hernandez (oblique) is on track to return to the Mariners' rotation Sunday against the Angels.
  • Tigers RP Phil Coke will be shut down for the next couple of days due to left elbow tenderness.
  • Blue Jays 1B Edwin Encarnacion underwent successful surgery on his left wrist on Thursday.
  • Indians SP Justin Masterson (oblique) feels good and is ready to throw off a mound Friday.
  • Red Sox manager John Farrell acknowledged Thursday that OF Jacoby Ellsbury (foot) is unlikely to return until the final series of the regular series next weekend.
  • Orioles SP Miguel Gonzalez (groin) said he felt good after a bullpen session Saturday.
  • Yankees C Austin Romine (concussion) is still not ready to return.
  • Astros C Jason Castro underwent a minor surgical procedure Thursday to remove a cyst from his right knee.
  • Astros 3B Matt Dominguez left Thursday's game against the Indians after being hit on the left hand by a pitch.
