Physically mature, extra-large frame, thick build. Keeps a quick tempo when pitching, 3/4 arm slot, high leg kick with some mild effort in the delivery. |

Heavy with late life, has some sink to it, works low in the zone. More control over command at this point. Velocity dipped late. |
Slider |

Inconsistent, will overthrow at times, but shows potential to be an above-average secondary. Good velocity separation. Best used as a chase pitch sweeping out of the zone away from right-handed hitters. |

Good velocity separation from the fastball but lacks movement. Throws for a change of pace offering but does not generate much swing-and-miss. |

Only mixed in a handful of times during this outing but showed promise of being a solid offering; 12-6 shape with some bite. |
Ashcraft is finding minor league success as a starter after splitting time starting and relieving in college. Future role will depend on the continued development of a third off-speed pitch and the refinement of the command. Potential back of the rotation starter if both take a step forward, but most likely a bullpen arm that relies heavily on the fastball/slider combo.
