Thin, athletic frame with very narrow hips; plenty of room to add weight in lower half; Yordano Ventura body comp. has a bit of violence to windup, but delivery is relatively smooth – athletic enough to make that work. Glove side elbow is held high pre-pitch; considerable head whack. Plus arm speed; 3/4 to high 3/4 arm slot; quality defender and plus athlete. |

Pitch has sharp arm-side run. Will get some swing-and-miss when he’s locating; command and control will come and go. Will give right-handed hitters plenty of headaches inside and break his share of bats. Reaches back for a little extra when he needs it; maintains velo well. |

Nasty pitch. 11-5 shape; will likely be his best offering. Tight with sharp, darting break; will play with the shape, velo a bit, but it’s best in the low 80s with the 11-5 break. Arm slot is a bit inconsistent at present, but the pitch doesn’t suffer because of it; going to get plenty of whiffs. |

A bit firm at present, but still advanced for his age. Would like to see a larger separation in velo; generates a lot of ugly swings. Fades arm side with considerable drop; misses hitters bats from either side of the dish. |
Possesses quality stuff across the board. Mound presence could use some improvement – appears anxious at times. Mechanics are a bit inconsistent at present; makes good in-game adjustments and benefits from mound visits. Does a good job working at the edges or off the plate; all of his pitches break sharply – tunneling his arsenal is going to get a lot of swings and misses. As he adds strength to his lower half he may see a bump in velo. Plenty of risk, but plenty of potential as well.
