Pitch Type Future Grade Sitting Velocity Peak Velocity Report
Fastball 60 89-92 93 Command - 40/55
Movement - 40/50
Deception - 60/60

Plus deception, hides the ball well in delivery; mild run; pitch flattens out to the pull side and gets easier to hit; loses the release point on occasion causing misfires; held velocity deep into the start.
Slider 55 80-83   Command - 40/50
Movement - 45/55
Deception - 50/60

10-4 movement; replicates fastball arm speed; flashes sharp bite and tilt; will occasionally mix in a get-me-over slider with slurve qualities; can develop into a weapon against both right-handed and left-handed hitters.
Changeup 60 81-83   Command - 40/55
Movement - 50/60
Deception - 60/60

Plus fade and tumble; plus arm deception, replicates the fastball arm slot and comes out of the fastball tunnel; will lose the release point and miss down with the offering; developing feel for the pitch; potential bat-misser at the highest level against left- and right-handed hitters.

Drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2nd round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft from Hazelwood West HS (Hazelwood, MO).

Williams is a projectable pitcher who has made advancements from last year. At present Williams flashes plus stuff and a tenuous grasp on command but his repeatable mechanics and athletic delivery allow for projecting solid average command. Williams projects to add good weight as well and he will have a sturdy, starter's frame when he fills out. With a command jump Williams can become a 3 starter.
