Hit	45	Has a chance to hit because of plus bat-speed, but needs to take major steps forward with approach and pitch recognition. Quiet stance, stays tall. Can get long with his swing, but not a major flaw. Plus bat-speed and does not have to sell out for it. Over-aggressive, makes bad contact because of ability to get barrel on bad pitches; expands the zone too easily. Struggles to recognize curveballs and change-ups. Is willing to use the whole field.
Power	60	Easy power, natural uppercut. Ball jumps off of bat, does not have to sell out for power. Power is still raw, does not play consistently in games because of approach. Extremely dangerous on balls up in the strike zone.
Baserunning/Speed	60	Clocked at 4.21 to first base from right side despite big swing and finish. Not an exceptionally quick first step but runs very well once underway.
Glove	50	Tracks fly balls adequately; speed should make him at least an average defender.
Arm	40	In first two looks, arm was fringy for right field. In last look, he looked injured and arm was well below average. Extremely long arm-action, little carry on throws. Left field arm.

The profile is a tough one for Walker as a right-handed hitter destined for left field. His approach at the plate is poor and it holds him back. He struggles to recognize even decent change-ups at this point and will expand the zone for any breaking pitch moving away from him. Things would be bleak for Walker if not for his tremendous bat speed, which gives him the potential to do some damage if he can improve his pitch recognition - not an easy task. It's a long road ahead for Walker, but the natural ability to hit for power is there if he can put some things together which gives him more of a chance than most raw, young hitters.
