Tool Future Grade Report
Hit 40 Slightly open, upright stance, hands start high with a slight load and stride; swing is geared for power and it shows in the approach, swings hard and makes loud contact but gets overly aggressive and will expand the zone, can get thrown off balance by spin.
Power 60 Double plus raw to all fields generated by a leveraged swing, plus bat speed and athletic strength; plays down due to hit tool deficiencies.
Baserunning/Speed 50 4.30 average on multiple home to first clocks, aggressive base runner, will steal the occasional bag, athleticism will allow him to maintain average speed throughout his career.
Glove 50 Currently lacks instincts, will take inefficient routes and make poor throwing decisions at times; has the athleticism to eventually become an average defender with more experience and coaching.
Arm 50 Average arm strength for right field, will play above at left or center, shows good carry.

Acquired in the deadline deal for Kris Bryant, Canario is a boom or bust type prospect. If everything clicks, the athleticism and pop are strong enough to carry him to an occasional all star season at a corner. The more likely scenario is that of a talented outfielder who shows flashes but never makes enough consistent contact to be an impact player.
