Tool Future Grade Report
Hit 60 An advanced hitter for his age, Witt does a lot of things well at the plate. The biggest thing Witt needs improving as of now is identifying and hitting breaking pitches. A few times Witt got fooled by curveballs that weren't outstanding. Other than that, everything else is fantastic.
Power 60 Raw power here is close to 70. Witt's batting practice is a laser show that even prime Pink Floyd would envy. In game, the power stroke is easy and impressive. It's all fields power also, without much discrimination for where Witt sends baseballs.
Baserunning/Speed 55 More quick than fast, though that shouldn't be construed as a bad thing. Witt has good speed that should aide him in getting steals at the next level along with potential turning some hits into extra bases.
Glove 70 As impressive as the batting is, the defense is better. Conceivably able to play shortstop, second and third base Witt has incredible instincts and understanding of positioning. He's never out of place on balls in play, and makes every play look easy and effortless.
Arm 60 As a part of that outstanding defensive profile, Witt's arm shows out well. It's more than good enough to stick at short, with the potential to handle third if KC wanted to move him there.
Overall

Witt is a superstar in the making, the next big star biding their time in the minors. His combination of electric hitting and wizard level defense will provide the Royals with their next generational talent. He's a perennial All Star, and will lead the way for a decade or longer.
