Tool Future Grade Report
Hit 45 Good feel for hit. Above average barrell acceleration with plus barrel speed at the point of contact. Swing is consistently in sync. Keeps hands close to body through contact. Can delay upper body after hip fire to adjust to offspeed. Uses all fields. Longer levers create some swing and miss.

Patient approach which can occasionally border too close to passive. Willing to watch close pitches even on 0-2 counts. Occasionally fooled by quality offspeed and above average breaking. Already a plus approach and shows markers and adjustment abilities for more.
Power 60 Double plus raw power with strong lower half generating significant barrel velocity. Home run power to all fields and line drive/fly ball oriented approach. Can go as far as contact abilities do.
Baserunning/Speed 40 Surprisingly agile mover once up to full speed. Acceleration to top speed takes a couple of extra steps. Should stay in this range until mid-late 20's.
Glove 45 Raw, but has the physical tools to be a fringe-average. Solid agility, clean hands, quick first step. Poor footwork on balls coming in. Limited side to side movements after first step as he builds speed.
Arm 70 Plus plus arm strength with good quick throwing mechanics and clean footwork on throws.
Overall

Sherten Apostel should play himself into a role as an MLB regular 3B/1B. Apostel has quality athleticism on a massive frame in addition to a plus approach that should let him provide above average value with his bat with an OBP-and-power profile. Currently raw defensively, but has encouraging markers. Should profile very well at 1B if team loses patience at 3B or if he sizes out of the position.

Apostel dulls the edge of some of the flaws in his profile with an excellent approach and adjustment to spin. If that trend doesn't continue, he likely won't hit enough to stick on an MLB roster. Otherwise his patience/power combo and ability to adjust to high quality arms give him a loud upper end projection even if he sizes out of 3B.
