Hit	50	Ruiz's elongated swing, reliant on timing, has holes that can be exploited by well-executed, professional pitching. His plus-speed, bat-to-ball instincts, and ability to bunt for hits should help counter an elevated swing-and-miss rate, salvaging a respectable batting average.
Power	60	Ruiz generates impressive torque and bat speed with his sinewy, lean physique and big swing. In 2018, he posted 12 HR and 20 doubles at Low-A, as a 19-year-old. With natural development and progression, the offensive-minded second baseman should produce his share of extra-base hits and RBI.
Baserunning/Speed	60	Ruiz's long, smooth strides cover ground rapidly, enabling him to stretch for extra-bases and score from anywhere. Displaying a natural proclivity for base-stealing, his keen anticipation and cat-like quickness ensure his head-first slides capture bags with ease.
Glove	50	He appears most comfortable at second base, displaying plus-range in both directions and a natural ability to turn the double-play. His receptive hands and athleticism allow for defensive versatility, making third base and a utility-role options.
