We follow up last week's major league preview show with the minor league version, and with Jason back in Brooklyn, it's a return to standard podcast form. After rolling through your emails, we talk about Yankees and Phillies prospects in the name of completion and then it's 30 minutes of hardcore prospect talk as Jason and I each pick five players we will be watching intensely this season. Inspired by an email, our special guest is right-hander Steve Palazzolo who discusses the career of a journeyman who has pitched for three organizations and in three different independent leagues, and then the hawk trap guys makes a return appearance in our listener of the week segment, as he does not trap hawks anymore. Then it's the goofy stuff, including a very special musical guest and as always, we hope you enjoy.

After a brief hiatus, we return with a star-studded 2012 season preview, as many of our favorite writers help us preview every division in baseball, but we save the best for last, as the official Up and In prediction for the 2012 World Series is reserved for Mom, and she does not disappoint. Then it's the goofy stuff, as Jason prepares to leave after a month in the desert. Tons of baseball talk, and we'll do it again next week with our minor league season preview. As always, we hope you enjoy.

Just a quick show as I get ready to hop a plane for a few days in Arizona. We go through your email, and then after receiving a lot of comments about the Jairo Beras situation we bring on our good friend Jorge Arangure to discuss what exactly goes on with Dominican signings and age investigations. We had to get Jason settled into Arizona, we had some technical glitches to sort out, but we're back. Jason and I read through your email, talked about Rangers and Brewers prospects, discuss the strange kind of signing of Jairo Beras and discuss Jason's spring training dairy and how haters gotta hate. Our special guest is Oakland A's outfield prospect Jeremy Barfield, a unique personality among ball players, and then it's the goofy stuff. See you next week, and as always, we hope you enjoy.

It might not be first time an international player's age was disputed, but that doesn't mean the case of Jairo Beras is typical.
