2016-01-27 19:00:00 (link to chat)Preston Tucker: Likely starter or fourth outfielder?
(delatopia from the 415)
Probably depends on whether or not he leaves Houston, but in a vacuum I think he can be a starter. Or at least the left-handed end of a platoon. (Matt Collins)
2015-09-21 20:30:00 (link to chat)Can you rank these OFs for future: Eddie Rosario, Odubel Herrera, Aaron Altherr, Preston Tucker, Pete O'Brien.
(ColeWhittier from Pasadena, CA)
I'd go Rosario, Herrera, Tucker, Altherr, O'Brien. (Bret Sayre)
2015-06-10 14:00:00 (link to chat)Is Preston Tucker worth hanging onto in a 14 team mixed dynasty league?
(tntzombie from Cleveland)
Oh, absolutely. You can't throw away someone who's hitting fourth in a major-league lineup. He's a solid fourth or fifth fantasy OF. (J.P. Breen)
2015-03-06 14:00:00 (link to chat)Which of these "fringe" prospects can you see playing beyond this label and their division 2 projections and being above average regulars some day? Mac Williamson, Preston Tucker, Darnell Sweeney, Tony Kemp, Devon Travis?
(GI JIM from Uranus)
Do you remember the seen in 30 rock when Kenneth is Tracey's work wife and he gives him the plan for the day and then Tracey says "I'M NOT DOING ANY OF THAT!" ?

That's how I feel about the names you just mentioned. Sweeney and Kemp the best of the bunch though. (Christopher Crawford)
2014-07-14 13:00:00 (link to chat)Bat only... what are the upsides of guys like Preston Tucker, Kennys Vargas, Christian Walker, and Dan Vogelbach? I know a couple may profile as DH types, but what kind of ceilings are we looking at?
(MP from Bluegrass State)
At least Tucker can play the OF. For guys at low positions on the defensive spectrum, they really have to hit. Most of these guys should be good for 20-25 homers, but at 1B or LF, that alone doesn't get you much past second-division regular territory. They also have to hit closer to .300 and show strong on base skills, which may or may not happen. (Jeff Moore)
2014-04-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)Preston Tucker is a prospect no one seems to talk about, but he keeps hitting. 25 homers and a solid enough k/bb rate last year and he's started off hot in AA again this year. What's the take on him and his future?
(Pat from Tallahassee, FL)
Personally, I'm just not buying the bat speed. I don't think he's going to consistently handle MLB velocity, and if he doesn't absolutely rake, he's not going to be of value. There's very little defensive value with Tucker and the bat has to play to an extreme for him to be an MLB contributor. (Mark Anderson)
2013-08-14 13:00:00 (link to chat)What's your take on Preston Tucker? Could he develop into an everyday Major Leaguer or 4th OF?
(Alex from Houston)
Maybe second-division every day guy, but I think the Astros may have enough OF talent soon that he won't need to be forced into a role. I've yet to see him (hoping to get Corpus Christi one more time before the season ends), but the scouts I've spoken to like the swing and eye at the plate and think it's more doubles than HR at the end of the day. He's a fringy defender. Platoon type of bat that can have success in the right spot. (Jason Cole)
2013-07-29 11:00:00 (link to chat)Hi again ZM, Deep dynasty league... What are your thoughts on Preston Tucker, Jesse Hahn or Eddie Butler? thanks again awesome stuff.
(Andy B from WI)
Eddie Butler has an impact arm I would get him on my team if I could. Jesse Hahn has two potential plus pitches, but has injury history and I wonder what it will be going forward. I'm not on the Preston Tucker wagon. (Zach Mortimer)
