2016-03-03 13:00:00 (link to chat)If you had to cut two of the following (Huascar Ynoa, Jairo Labourt, Adonis Medina & Jermaine Palacios) from your (extremely deep) dynasty roster, who would it be and why?
(traindoggah from space)
Good Lord. Probably Labourt and Palacios. Definitely not Medina. I like Medina a lot. (Christopher Crawford)
2015-07-30 13:00:00 (link to chat)Jeff, how would you rank these 3 pitchers: Jairo Labourt, Michael Kopech, & Keury Mella? Any thoughts and opinions on them possibly having a role 6 potential?
(What Do We Have? from Far Away From the Show)
Same caveats as before, but this is tough. Kopech is the best arm for me ... electric arm and decent secondary that's continuing to show improvement. He went 6th (!) in our re-draft: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=26655. Labourt seems like a reliever to me because of command issues and a non-existent change. Jeff Moore wrote him up recently: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/prospects/eyewitness_pit.php?reportid=304. (Jeff Long)
2015-07-30 13:00:00 (link to chat)Statcast has predominantly focused on great plays and route efficiency for defense. When should the public expect to see lists of terrible plays in order to assign weight to the metrics?
(BirdsEyeView from Baltimore)
I wish I knew. Luckily MLBAM granted me access to some pitching data, but I haven't heard (nor would I) the plans for further roll out of data or insights to the public just yet.

PS - Jairo Labourt who we discussed earlier was just dealt as part of the David Price deal. So that's fun. (Jeff Long)
2015-07-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)Hey Chris. Between Keury Mella, Jairo Labourt, and Michael Kopech, what would your order be of these prospects if you had them in your farm? Any thoughts and opinions on them if all could possibly be role 6 pitchers?
(kiper90 from Rochester, NY)
Boy that's a great question. I'd probably go Kopech, Labourt, Mella. Kopech's arm strenght is just stupid, and he's flashing a pretty nice curveball, though the delivery isn't ideal. If Labourt starts throwing more strikes he wins, but I need to see him do that. (Christopher Crawford)
2014-12-16 19:00:00 (link to chat)Who has the best group of young starting pitching prospects?
(Ryan from Aurora)
For sheer volume of arms in the lists we have done so far, Toronto's stick out. Sanchez, Norris, and Hoffman are a pretty good start right there. From the reports and chatter, Jairo Labourt is a player I feel can really breakout and gain some good traction in 2015. Miguel Castro is a legit power arm that's realistically a 'pen guy, but can really bring it.

Reid-Foley, Osuna, Tirado, and add in Smoral from the OTR section. Volatility for sure overall, but busting at the seams with arms. (Top 10s Chat With Chris Mellen)
2014-12-11 18:00:00 (link to chat)Hey Mark, what would your order be of these prospects if you had them in your farm? Alexander Reyes, Nomar Mazara, Leonardo Molina, Jairo Labourt, Ryan McMahon?
(kiper90 from Rochester, NY)
Mazara, Reyes, McMahon, Molina, Labourt. (Mark Anderson)
2014-05-15 20:00:00 (link to chat)Pick up Clinton Hollon, Jairo Labourt or Miguel Castro over any of these injured upside pitchers: Tyrell Jenkins, Luis Heredia or Jose Martinez?
(traindoggah from maine)
I'd take a shot on Hollon at this point. Tough to take any of the injury struck pitchers over him. (Bret Sayre)
2013-07-29 11:00:00 (link to chat)Are there any high ceiling prospects in this group: Jairo Labourt, Adonys Cardona, Dawel Lugo, Yeyfry Del Rosario, Mitch Nay, Dalton Pompey, Santiago Nessy, Dickie Thon, Jesus Tinoco, Rowdy Tellez.
(Jack from Toronto)
Guys that I've seen or heard enough to talk about:
Labourt: intriguing arm that needs to be looked at more closely
Cardona: may never command his stuff enough to be relevant
Nay: Impressive Raw power, still developing other aspects of his game
Dalton Pompey: smart ball player, most likely a solid organizational player.
Nessy: Raw power with some arm strength behind the plate. Excellent leadership ability, looked very good in spring training.
Dickie Thon: Always plays well when I'm in attendance. (Zach Mortimer)
