2019-04-12 16:00:00 (link to chat) | Seth Lugo? I know he's had a rough start, but he could wind up starting and therefore worth holding in a deep league? (Vic from Baltimore) | If you just look at the Mets pitching depth, it seems like a good bet - there isn't a lot behind that front five, so and one of those five is Jason Vargas. That said, Lugo hasn't started for them since last June and I don't know that he has more than two good pitches, which isn't a good sign. I think the results in the bullpen will be much better than this going forwards though, so if that's still valuable in your league then I'm fine with holding him. (Darius Austin) |
2018-12-06 20:00:00 (link to chat) | What role do you see Seth Lugo having in 2019? (sportsguy21792 from Madison) | Callaway was pretty clear on yesterday's Mike Zaun that he'd prefer him in the bullpen. I'd expect similar to 2018, multiple innings in high leverage wherever they need him. (Jarrett Seidler) |
2017-10-24 20:00:00 (link to chat) | What does a Dee Gordon -> Mets trade look like. seems like it could make sense for both teams (Dan from Ny) | I'm with Jarrett ... the Marlins sure need some minor league depth, but the Mets don't have it. They could use a starting pitcher, but who knows how many the Mets have? Seth Lugo? I really don't know here. - Bryan G. (World Series Chat) |
2017-03-22 20:00:00 (link to chat) | How good is Luis Robert? An MLB comp would be great and also where he'd rank in the top 100... thank you (TrickDaddy14 from Bronx) | I am not really qualified enough to answer this question. I mean, we did put Kevin Maitan on, so he'd probably make it.
A FYI - gonna be a little slower responding as we get closer to and into the game tonight -- working on a Seth Lugo focused "real time" piece for BP Mets with regards to the championship game, but I'll keep taking questions here in between as long as they keep coming. (Jarrett Seidler) |
2017-02-14 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Would Seth Lugo make a list if eligible? (Daquan from Tristate) | Lugo is a nice story and may be a quite useful major league arm now, but I don't think he'd be a 101 guy. More akin to like Matt Strahm. (The Top 101 Prospect Chat with Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2017-01-06 13:00:00 (link to chat) | If Seth Lugo was prospect eligible does he sneak in at the end of a top 100? (Delta from Lga) | Okay, I am going to blow through a bunch of Mets questions now to help clear out the queue.
He's like a 50/45, or 45/40. Not a sure bet to stick as a starter, may fit better in the pen. That's more back of the Mets Top ten than back of a national top 100. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2016-11-22 20:00:00 (link to chat) | Where would Seth Lugo be on a top 100 if he didn't lose his prospect eligibility? Further, Does Lugo, Kevin Plawecki and Gabriel Ynoa give TB enough value for Alex Colome? (Erik from LA) | Probably off it because of age and health. That hypothetical trade sounds quite fair for Colome, but I also suspect the Mets may just drop Lugo into that role themselves. (Jarrett Seidler) |
2016-11-11 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Can Robert Gsellman and Seth Lugo hold down the 3-4 spots in pretty much any MLB rotation? (JT from Bronx) | Gsellman is just about ready for that. Lugo I don't know if he can actually start for a full season, and he started to get hard towards the end of 2016 once the book got out. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2016-10-06 14:00:00 (link to chat) | Can you guys change the BP database so that Seth Lugo comes up when you search him? In the database it is Jacob Lugo and it is frustrating when trying to look stuff up by him (Brad from Bronx) | He is from Louisiana so goes by his middle name. But yes, I always forget this when I am looking up stuff on Brooks. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
