2014-07-03 19:00:00 (link to chat)Rank these prospects in a dynasty: Rosell Herrera, Nick Williams, Blake Swihart, Daniel Norris, Trevor Story, Alen Hanson, Philip Ervin, Kennys Vargas, Steven Mats.
(Tim from NJ)
Nick Williams, Trevor Story, Daniel Norris and Blake Swihart are the big four of that group. I think everyone kinda rounds out the backend. (Mauricio Rubio)
2014-01-27 13:00:00 (link to chat)Surprised no Rosell Herrera! esp slotting Tapia ahead of himů
(SlickRick from NYC)
Herrera is a good example of stat line scouting. He doesn't profile at SS; more of a super utility type in CF and left-side infield. Very valuable player to an org, but I'll take the guy with the loud tools and high impact upside. (Jason Parks on the Top 101 Prospects)
2014-01-10 13:00:00 (link to chat)It seems that a lot of people are not high on Rosell Herrera despite having one of the best seasons in the minor's last year. He was relativley young for the SAL. It seemed his struggles in 2012 were from an aggresive promotion to Lo-A and adjusting. Once he was demoted to the Northwest league, he was much better. Your thoughts?
(MoenPDC from Boston)
He has a difficult profile. There are legitimate concerns that he's not staying at shortstop once he reaches physical maturity, and that hurts his value considerably. I'm more optimistic than some on his ability at shortstop, but even I struggle to see him staying there. I also don't know that the bat plays so strongly as to support a move to third base or second base. It's just a really difficult profile. (Mark Anderson)
2013-11-08 14:00:00 (link to chat)Any of these prospects jump off the board for you? Rosell Herrera, Nick Williams, Ryan McMahon, Arismendy Alcantara, and Jesse Winker. What are your thoughts? Thanks Ben!
(Ryan from Cincy)
Last pinch hitting appearance from Mark Anderson: "The two that jump out the most to me are Williams and Alcantara. Williams is a gifted natural hitter and he could be an impact bat at the highest level. Alcantara can contribute in all phases of the game and he has some thump in his bat as well. I really like what Alcantara brings to the table. I've always been partial to Herrera and think he may have finally turned a corner in 2013, but I'm still a little skeptical of him."

Mark will be chatting at BP at 1 PM ET next Thursday, so show up then to get prospect questions answered without an intermediary. (Ben Lindbergh)
2013-09-27 13:00:00 (link to chat)Where does Rosell Herrera's season leave him? Is he a top 100 contender, or does he have to do it again at a higher level first?
(Behemoth from Scotland)
I'm not sure he's Top 100 for me, but he could be in the conversation at the back end. I haven't really looked that deeply at a list of that magnitude yet this year, but his season was certainly impressive. There's a solid player in there and he made some very real strides in 2013, but not every report was glowing, so I am tempering my enthusiasm. (Mark Anderson)
2013-07-29 11:00:00 (link to chat)What kind of future does Rosell Herrera have with the Rockies? Has he passed Story in the organization?
(seabass77 from Milwaukee)
Rosell Herrera gets a lot of love from those that enjoy looking at his numbers. I want to see Herrera do it against advanced pitching. (Zach Mortimer)
2013-07-25 13:00:00 (link to chat)Has Rosell Herrera fulfilled all of your wildest fantasies since you wrote about him in 2011?
(Biscuits from Wonderland)
I felt good about the projection in '11, and I'm glad to see he is producing at the full season level as a 20-year-old. (Jason Parks)
2013-06-04 13:00:00 (link to chat)Thanks for the chat Paul! Can you tell me a little bit about Rosell Herrera and Renato Nunez? I'm looking deep into these guys for my fantasy farm team.
(Ben from Denver)
I'd be 10000% lying if I tried to fake this. I'm not entirely sure you didn't make these names up and somehow create BP profiles for them. Got my eye on you, Ben. (Paul Sporer)
