BP Annual Player Comments

YearComment
2017 Daniel Castro was out-played by Erick Aybar, which wasn't a good place to be in 2016, but his topping out as a potential utility man is nothing new.
2016 If MLB ever implements a bat boy-lookalike contest among its players, Atlanta has a surefire candidate in Castro. The baby-faced utilityman from Mexico made his major-league debut with the Braves in 2015 along with the rest of civilization and showed some contact skills on occasion. "And he hit two homers in 100 PAs! That's double digits over a full season!" you're probably shouting because you looked at the stat box above. Well, sure, fine, but first of all, please use your inside voice, and second of all, pair that with the zero homers in 443 PAs in Double- and Triple-A last year and you come out with a less impressive total. He knows his way around a glove and can play multiple positions, including shortstop, but that's pretty much what you get.
