2017-09-06 13:00:00 (link to chat)In the wake of Derek Holland getting released, who is a guy you really thought would work out this year but hasn't. Or vice versa.
(jfegan from Chicago, IL)
The White Sox had a glut of fringe major leaguers on their roster this year and if you had asked me before the season which one I was most confident would play solid baseball in 2017 I would've said Tyler Saladino. The back injury was an obvious setback, and the bar wasn't particularly high in the first place, but Saladino has been wholly unremarkable for the entirety of the season. And with the emergence of other players, has gone from someone I was fairly confident would have a long career as a utility player to someone I have a lot of questions about. (Collin Whitchurch)
2017-03-23 20:00:00 (link to chat)Is there a working list of guys who are trying to change launch angles? I'm starting Duda at util and he makes me nervous. I need a deep sleeper. Anyone you like?
(Sir nerdlington from Colorado)
That's a cool idea. I don't know of any catalog of those changes, but it could be interesting to compile. Duda will be good, if he's healthy. I guess that's a pretty big if. For some reason I kind of like Tyler Saladino. He sneakily hit .282 last year with 8 homers and 11 steals, in maybe half a season of plate appearances. He's going to play a lot more this year. (Mark Barry)
2015-07-23 17:00:00 (link to chat)When can we expect the Tyler Saladino regression?
