2016-01-27 19:00:00 (link to chat)Which of these 3 will make the most fantasy impact the next 2 years Cristhian Adames, Andrew Velazquez, & Nolan Fontana?
(coachdorsey00 from Tennessee)
Can I say none of the above? Because it's probably none of the above. Gun to my head, I cry for a little bit then say Adames just because he has the easiest route to playing time. Velazquez is the best player, but I don't think he plays much the next two years. But yeah, none of the above. (Matt Collins)
2013-04-30 12:00:00 (link to chat)Nick Tropeano and Nolan Fontana both could have the "advanced/polished college player" label attached to them, and both are tearing up their level (AA and A+, respectively). How soon do we see them at the MLB level?
(Ashitaka1110 from Houston, TX)
It comes down to how aggressive Houston wants to be. I would say 2014 but perhaps Houston decides to give them a glimpse of big-league life in September. (R.J. Anderson)
2012-08-01 13:00:00 (link to chat)Astros pushed Nolan Fontana fast and he's doing well in A-ball Lexington already. ETA to the Majors for him? Is he or Jonathan Villar the shortstop of the future at this point?
(Ashitaka1110 from Houston, TX)
For the next question, Ashitaka1110, I have seen both players, but not recently. Fontana has great bloodlines, as his grandfather is former Milwaukee Brave RHP Lew Burdette, which might help him get there a little sooner. Villar was a good get in the Pence deal, and the Astros will have a couple of talented kids to evaluate. (Dan Evans)
