2020-02-14 13:00:00 (link to chat)Thanks for the chat. What are your thoughts on Leody Taveras? I was offered Taveras, and Gio Urshela for Josh Donaldson in a 20 team dynasty league. Seems Taveras’ prospect status has declined rapidly!!!
(Donnell from Washington, DC)
Bret Sayre still rides the Leody Taveras train, and is the reason Taveras made our dynasty 101, but he represents a small minority. That is not to say Taveras is without upside, but he is a better real-life prospect than a fantasy one given his limited power. Still, steals are in short supply and he could be a 20+ SB guy. Something like .270/10/20+ is certainly possible as a peak. Think Ender Inciarte.

Now, as for the offer, I prefer Donaldson to the package of Taveras/Urshela. To downgrade from Urshela to Donaldson, I'd want a borderline-top-50 prospect in return. (Jesse Roche)
2019-03-08 16:00:00 (link to chat)Any "bust candidate" players you are staying away from in fantasy drafts?
(Buddy from Peoria, IL)
Check out our "Fantasy Players to Avoid" series for each position. But some random examples of guys I may not like as much as others/ADP: Folty, Ender Inciarte, Adalberto. I'm finally starting to consider taking Gallo in a mock draft for the first time, but don't push me when it comes to a real league. And of course, I'm always down on Brandon Belt, though finally his ADP is more reflective of his value. (Kevin Jebens)
2018-07-26 12:00:00 (link to chat) What can you tell me about Sierra who just got called up by the Marlins? Seems like he needs more time in the minors and not ready for prime time. What’s his long-term outlook ?
(Greg from NY )
I really, really like Sierra's secondary skills with his speed and his defense, but his offense hasn't come around yet. As far as long-term outlook goes, he could top out as a do-it-all fifth outfielder with no bat, or his hit tool could come around and he could be something of an Ender Inciarte type. There's a broad range of outcomes, almost all dependent on his bat coming alive. (Bryan Grosnick)
2016-11-11 13:00:00 (link to chat)Ender Inciarte makes some sense for the Mets. Who would they have to trade to get him?
(Austin from hoboken)
Devil's advocate: Is he that much of an upgrade over Lagares that it is worth meeting the Braves asking price? He is a bit better at everything, but it is the same skill set. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2016-05-18 19:00:00 (link to chat)I've got some old/slumping outfielders I wouldn't mind moving in my 12-team dynasty. So: (1) which guys are the best bet to bounce back, and (2) who represents the best flip/sell low candidate? Brett Gardner, Alex Gordon, Ender Inciarte, Carlos Gomez, and Michael Taylor Second question (can I have two??): Drew Pomeranz - sell high or hang on?
(Will from Daytona)
Absolutely keep Drew Pomeranz. The knuckle curve is really something. I'm not really a huge fan of anyone in that group of outfielders, but I think I would keep Gardner, Gordon and Inciarte for now. I'm really out on Michael Taylor (was never really in there to be honest) and I'm really worried about Gomez. The injuries are one thing, but if he's struggling even when he's healthy and also getting hurt, it's a problem. It doesn't help that a lot of his value is built on a power/speed combo. If the speed declines due to age and injury, he's loses so much value it's scary. I'm out there. (George Bissell)
2016-03-09 19:00:00 (link to chat)It's a 12 team NL only 5 x 5 (2 catcher league) where you can keep 6 (2016 salaries) Please help: Schwarber 8 B Hamilton 13 M Franco 16 AJ Ramos 6 Baez 8 Mesorasco 10 And right now I would be throwing back: Inciarte 12 Quackenbush 6 Drury 2 Is it reasonable to keep those 6? I have a few more days to decide.
(Chris from Baltimore)
Yes, I think that's fine. I'm kind of iffy on Javier Baez depending upon the keeper rules, but he's better than all of those bubble guys with the possible exception of Ender Inciarte. (Mike Gianella)
2016-01-21 19:00:00 (link to chat)Hey George, what do you think about a swap of Bregman, JD Davis, and Derek Fisher for Ender Inciarte and Arodys Vizcaino? Seems to me to be mutually beneficial to each team. Thanks!
(Matt from Virginia (AKA Snowpocalypse Central))
It depends what you think of Bregman. I would probably keep him unless I were desperate for stolen bases or an immediate upgrade at an OF spot. (George Bissell)
2014-09-25 13:00:00 (link to chat)Thanks Graig I pulled the trigger on the Myers for DeGrom trade. Which outfielder do you see producing more Randal Grichuk or Ender Inciarte next yearin a 12 team league they are at best back ups this year.
(OB1KENOBI from Tampa)
I guess I'd go with Grichuk there, but owning either in a 12-team league makes me nauseous. (Craig Goldstein)
2014-08-06 16:30:00 (link to chat)What is your opinion on Ender Inciarte? What comes to mind when you see that name.
(JZ from Baltimore)
Jordan: Yu-Gi-Oh

Jake: He sounds like some sort of Dragon Trainer from the Hunger Games (Cespedes Family BBQ)
