2009-07-15 14:00:00 (link to chat)	Kevin, Do you agree with the Giants decision to skip Buster in AA and move him straight to AAA? (Parker Posey from The Hills)	Yeah, absolutely. Keep in mind that this isn't necessarily about Posey as much as it might be about Jackson Williams, the catcher at Double-A. Williams can barely hold his own offensively in the Eastern League, so they don't want to push him up, but they see him as Posey's backup long-term, and he is in the argument when you talk about the best defensive catchers in the minors. 2009-05-07 14:00:00 (link to chat)	Any word on why Posey didn't get promoted along with Bumgarner, Alderson and Crawford? And re: Crawford, do you think he can overcome the insane K%? (John from Sacramento, CA)	I don't know the official reason, but there might be a bit of a numbers game going on. The catcher at Double-A right now is Jackson Williams, who stinks as a hitter, but is also one of the best defensive backstops in the minors, so they want to keep getting him BAs in hope that he'll hit ENOUGH to be a backup. That's just a theory. (Kevin Goldstein)
