DateQuestionAnswer
2014-07-28 19:00:00 (link to chat)Was there ever a moment when Tigers fans missed Ryan Raburn?
(Zachthewriter from Tiffin)
Probably the second half of last year when Matt Tuiasosopo metaphysically disappeared. He's a role player and became persona non grata when he was the de facto starting second baseman, and that wasn't good for anybody involved. He also always, ALWAYS had a big hit in a given White Sox series. (Matt Sussman)
2009-03-19 15:00:00 (link to chat)Matt Tuiasosopo has had a hot spring. If Beltre gets traded at the deadline, will Tuiasosopo be ready to contribute?
(KerryFam4 from Atlanta)
As a solid-but-unspectacular third baseman? I think so. (Kevin Goldstein)
2008-09-03 14:00:00 (link to chat)I like my nickname. Am I legit?
(Baby Tui from Seattle)
I love your nickname (we're talking about Matt Tuiasosopo, by the way). I think you can hit. I think you have good pitch recognition and excellent swing mechanics -- I do wonder what your power ceiling is; you're plenty strong, but it's kind of a level swing without a lot of loft and backspin. I'm not sure what to make of you at times, but I do like you better than I did a year ago. (Kevin Goldstein)
2008-05-05 12:30:00 (link to chat)Matt Tuiasosopo: Future star or 4-A tweener?
(MarinerDan from San Francisco)
Wait, what? When did we even start to think Tui was good enough to be a 4-A guy? I would think that before that happens the guy has to, you know, start hitting Triple-A pitching. I've never liked Tui much at all -- he's an awkward fit defensively, and he just doesn't hit for any power. He's a Double-A lifer, to me. (Bryan Smith)
