Your roster looks strong, but 8-team mixed probably has a lot of rosters that look like this. Dan Haren and Tim Lincecum seem like players that you should be upgrading on. Feel free to drop Carlos Marmol, and as much as I love Kenley Jansen if there's a closer out there, get him; in an 8-team league you shouldn't be speculating on future saves but getting saves here and now. The free agents you list don't look particularly great which - again - makes me wonder how deep your reserve lists are. (Mike Gianella)

I would certainly target Lynn, Anderson, and Miller on the mound, especially since your pitching is hurting with Lincecum, Haren, and Halladay. That would be my #1 priority, no doubt. Among the hitters, I like Freese, Crisp, and Aoki. But you are pretty solid in the OF and 3B already, so that would be a secondary concern. (Doug Thorburn)

There's no way he hits as low as his .264 PECOTA projection right? (lipitorkid from OC, CA)	Weeks will be the more valuable fantasy player, since he has more power and will steal more. But Walker is a good bet to take a step forward in his age-27 season, assuming his back is healthy. At his peak I think he'll hit .285 with 20 HR's and 8-10 SB's, and drive in a lot of runs thanks to his lineup spot. Not a great player, but a very good one. (Cory Schwartz)

Weeks' season was a tale of two halves, and his average left something to be desired, but his power and speed contributions were solid. His batted ball data this year was in line with past seasons, and he's a player I'll be targeting next year. (Josh Shepardson)

If so, you would be the best option for Cano, Butler, Moustakas or Hosmer? (igoinsane67 from work)	Are they doing the "team captain" thing they did last year? As big of a Prince Fielder fan as I am, I was really disappointed when he gave Rickie Weeks a spot on the roster instead of hometown hero (and very deserving) Justin Upton. My guess is that whoever is in charge makes sure that a Royal is on the team. I would really want it to be Billy Butler. I just love watching him hit (and trot!). (Larry Granillo)

It seems that Week’s first half last year indicates he recovered nicely from his prior wrist and knee surgeries. He can't hold a quality BABIP to save his life since he can't hit liners consistently. He's epically frustrating. Stephen Brodsky's "Octave Museum" just came on. Psychedelic pop rock for the win. (ted from the cubicle)	I'm not a big fan of punting average, just because usually the guys that do well there are your best players in other categories. You're right - there's some value with the low average guys that do well in others (see also Adam Dunn, Rickie Weeks), but yeah, if they all go bad at the same time, then you're probably stuck in all the offensive categories across the boards. I think punting is still a good h-to-h strategy, but moreso with saves and/or SB's. (Jeff Erickson)

(Grizzly from Georgia)	Second base might actually be the most difficult offensive position to project because it's sort of a bastard-child position that most players end up at toward the end of their careers. Particularly if you have a young second baseman that breaks type, like Rickie Weeks, PECOTA may not find a whole lot of comparables and will have to cheat by looking at third basemen and so forth.
