DateQuestionAnswer
2009-09-02 13:00:00 (link to chat)Five keepers from: Wieters, Morales, Cano, Bartlett, Drew, Lind, Fowler, Pence, Feliz. Salary capped at $80m.
(Dave D from Brooklyn)
Do those guys added together even equal $80 mil? And is that Neftali Feliz or Pedro Feliz? Without further clarification, Wieters, Morales, Cano. Clarify the rest and I can give the other 2. (Eric Seidman)
2008-11-12 14:00:00 (link to chat)Pedro Feliz doesn't have the bat for third, but we keep throwing him out there! (And it worked!)
(Steve from PA)
Ok, when you start rattling off the reasons Philly won the World Series, lemme know when you get to Feliz. (Kevin Goldstein)
2008-10-21 14:00:00 (link to chat)Thoughts on Jason Donald at 3B in the AFL? Can he be a similar offensive hitter to Pedroia in the bigs, but at 3B? Obviously you'd like more power at 3B, but the Phillies did play Pedro Feliz and Greg Dobbs there this year, and Wes Helms last year....
(JM from DC)
Um, no. I don't think I'm going out on a limb here when I say that Jason Donald is not going to be the kind of guy who gives you 322 total bases in a season. He's a nice little prospect, but not a true SS, and not a guy who's in Pedroia's league offensively. (Kevin Goldstein)
2008-07-17 13:00:00 (link to chat)Third basemen -- Crede, Encarnacion, Kouzmanoff, Gordon, heck even Pedro Feliz.... for overall production the rest of the way is there any difference between these guys? Please tell me to just pick one so I can stop thinking about it. But not Feliz.
(ted from the cubicle)
I had to post this just because I lol'd at it hard enough to wake up my cat, Miles Edgeworth. Crede can't hit on the road, Encarnacion...well, his problems merit a Player Profile that you'll be seeing sometime this month...I'd go with Kouzmanoff or Gordon, Kouzy especially if your league doesn't count OBP or OPS. (Marc Normandin)

BP Roundtables

DateRoundtable NameComment
2008-10-13 17:00:00NLCS Game FourDown two, sixth inning, do I want:

--Victorino vs. Kershaw with no one out, first and second

--Feliz vs. Park with one out, second and third, and down a player

That doesn't seem like a hard choice to me. I really, really hate Pedro Feliz as a hitter, I know, and maybe in a tied game I take the latter, but I want to play for a big inning here. I think all that bunt did was create a path for the Dodgers to get out of the inning. (Joe Sheehan)
2008-10-13 17:00:00NLCS Game FourHey, Pedro Feliz is a great player. He's way better than say, 40-50% of AA players. (Gary Huckabay)
