2017-05-15 17:00:00 (link to chat)How can the A's bullpen suck as bad as it does?
(John from San Francisco)
More than a few teams have this problem this year. The lack of starting pitchers going deep into games combined with the almost nightly demand on relievers is contributing to a lack of fresh arms. Add Sean Doolittle's injury to this and Santiago Casilla's ineffectiveness and there you go. (Mike Gianella)
2014-07-03 19:00:00 (link to chat)Enjoying the chat, thanks. Q. National Leaguer with one or fewer saves who is mostly likely to have seven by the end of the year?
(gerrybraun from san diego)
Vic Black, Santiago Casilla, Alex Torres, Brad Ziegler. And I like Addison Reed but I can see them pulling the plug for a bit. (Mauricio Rubio)
2014-05-07 17:00:00 (link to chat)Who are some under the radar guys who are available in most leagues that you could see taking over a closer role at some point this season?
(Chris from NY)
Chris Perez on the Dodgers (he has moved past Brian Wilson in my opinion). Santiago Casilla on the Giants if Romo's arm falls off. I still like someone besides Tommy Hunter eventually getting saves in Baltimore. (Mike Gianella)
2014-03-27 13:00:00 (link to chat)Who's more likely to grab up saves this season: Josh Fields or Santiago Casilla?
(Mark from Springfield)
Probably Fields. Think of it this way: Romo is only losing that job if he gets hurt. Qualls (assuming he wins the job) could lose it to injury or because he gets dealt. Even so, I might go with Casilla. Fields' command is rough and that's not a forgiving ballpark; he might beat Casilla in saves and get dwarfed in ERA and WHIP. (R.J. Anderson)
2014-03-12 14:00:00 (link to chat)Have a favorite pick you've made in the reliever draft thus far? Didn't make it into your league so can't see your roster.
(Alex from Milwaukee)
My league is in the middle of the 13th round. My 12 picks so far:

Craig Kimbrel
Grant Balfour
Junichi Tazawa
Kevin Siegrist
Craig Stammen
Will Smith
Carlos Martinez
Adam Ottavino
Wade Davis
Manny Parra
Heath Hembree
Santiago Casilla

(For anyone who doesn't know what we're talking about, Sam is running a reliever-only fantasy league with Effectively Wild listeners. Only categories are runs allowed and strikeouts, and only relief innings count.) (Ben Lindbergh)
