2013-01-14 14:00:00 (link to chat)Does anyone else find humor that the Yankees probable Opening Day catcher will be Francisco Cervelli?
(jlarsen from chicago)
I just don't know if I buy it. Shades of "Bubba Crosby is our center fielder," circa 2006. (Ben Lindbergh)
2010-08-26 13:00:00 (link to chat)Yeah... I'm not looking for starting pitching (rolls eyes), just like Bubba Crosby was going to be my starting CF. Hey guys, I gotta bridge for sale you might be interested in......
(Brian Cashman from Sneaky Sneaky)
Someone please claim Kuroda and don't let him near New York. Thanks.

Lightning round time, everyone. (Marc Normandin)
2009-02-17 13:00:00 (link to chat)Earlier you dropped a Tulowitski/Longoria comp and it appeared to be on Rick Hague, as opposed to Derek Dietrich. Most sites seem to like Dietrich more than Hague. How do you think they compare both as college players for the next 2 seasons and as pro prospects? Is Hague the true power hitter that Rice hasn't really had since 1998 (Bubba Crosby & Damon Thames)?
(mymrbig from New Orleans)
Sorry if I wasn't clear there, yes, I think Hague is a better comp to Tulowitzki/Longoria, while Dietrich is more similar to Gordon Beckham. Hague is going to stick at shortstop -- which, let's face it, Longoria could have -- and he has that fluidity that those two possess. Dietrich has much more present power, but he's not going to stick at shortstop. He's a third baseman in the end. Both are awesome talents, and both will be top 10 picks a year from now. (Bryan Smith)
