2005		With as empty a .293 average as you'll ever find, Robinson proved that even when everything breaks right, he's still a punchless waste of roster space. Sure, the Pads used him as a defensive upgrade over Klesko in the late innings, but geez, Rick Majerus in a tutu could've done that, and been far more entertaining to boot.
2004		Robinson is a good defender and has speed on the bases, but he simply doesn't have the offensive skills to be on a major league roster, even in a limited role. He has no power and can't hit for average or draw walks. As a local product, he's popular among Cardinal fans, but he's a waste of roster space.
2003		Rather than carry a lefty pinch hitter who could mash or at least rope a few doubles, the Cards gave nostalgia buffs another spin with a token ’85 model Cardinal. It’s okay, there was a time I though that the Scorpions’ Love at First Sting was the greatest album ever. Well, hold on a sec, sometimes it pays not to grow up, that was one of the greatest albums ever. So sure, if the Cardinals want to carry a low-wattage pinch-runner and twelve pitchers and three catchers, well, that’s okay. Nobody should have to give up their inner child if they don’t want to.
2002		He's what Whitey Herzog would call a "jackrabbit." Robinson takes a very strange hack at the ball and runs like crazy, resulting in a large number of grounders and high chops that he can beat out for singles. He's actually pretty quick getting the bat through the hitting zone, and he could help a few major-league clubs as a pinch hitter/defensive replacement. There are rumors that the Cardinals will include Robinson as part of a platoon in left field; there's no way the Cardinals braintrust will let that happen.
1998		A Texas League All-Star, Robinson is the fastest good player in the organization. A slap hitter and good bunter, he isn’t a great defender, but has an accurate arm. An improved version of Luis Polonia? Taken in the Expansion Draft by Tampa Bay.
1997		Robinson is one of the last remnants of the organization’s historic commitment to speed. To put up an EqA like that at this level is extremely impressive. If he can hit like this, with his speed he’ll be on the fast track to the majors.
