DateQuestionAnswer
2017-10-12 20:00:00 (link to chat)Who would your big game big reliever of choice be?
(Matt from PHX)
Jon Rauch would be the biggest of relievers, I think. Well, Broxton, maybe? (Nick Schaefer)
2012-05-07 13:00:00 (link to chat)Aside from David Wright, do you think the Mets have any tradeable pieces? Their record is a mirage and they will fade soon enough.
(Matt from Malone, NY)
Their most tradable non-Wright assets are all in the bullpen. It wouldn't be too shocking if a contender grabs Jon Rauch, Ramon Ramirez, or Frank Francisco for the stretch run; maybe not to fill late-inning roles, but as middle relievers. (R.J. Anderson)
2011-01-18 13:00:00 (link to chat)Evan Meek and Jon Rauch, potential for saves with both?
(Brendan from Chicago)
I don't see Dotel getting all the opportunities up there given he is susceptible to left-handers, so it comes down to Frasor and Rauch for me. Both clubs have some handcuff situations going on there, which make them super annoying to analyze in January. (Marc Normandin)
2008-11-14 13:00:00 (link to chat)Not one mention of the most shocking development of the off-season: Jim Bowden makes a good trade!?!? To quote Dr Peter Venkman: "Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together...mass hysteria"
(Tim from DC)
I have to admit, I roasted him for swapping Jon Rauch for Bonifacio, then he goes and turns Bonifacio into something(s) useful. I still worry that they're going to try to shock that fanbase out of its malaise by making a bunch of Chuck LaMar, Greg Vaughn-style signings, which will only make things worse in the end. (Steven Goldman)
2008-07-21 15:00:00 (link to chat)How does 6'11'' Jon Rauch not fall apart?
(Andrew from Nueva York)
He did, then like many tall pitchers seemed to pull it together. Odd thing here is that he did it AFTER labrum surgery. He figured something out during the rehab and I've always been curious what. (Will Carroll)
