2020-11-20 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Thought on McKenzie gore? Heard anything as to why he wasn’t called up? Any injury concerns. Patino normal adjustments for a rookie or something else? (jugdish from Faber) | There were background reports that suggested mechanics/command blips at the Alternate Site. They aren't in the share so difficult to run down (and Padres are far enough out on the schedule we have just began scheduling calls). The fact that he wasn't up for the playoffs and Ryan Weathers was is somewhat instructive though. I'm not worried about Patino long term, as the stuff all looked fine and I think the command gets there. Tough ask given his level of pro experience and the unusual 2020 season. 2019-06-26 13:00:00 (link to chat) | How would you rank these pitchers in a dynasty format? Deivi Garcia, Ryan Weathers, Griffin Canning, Grayson Rodriguez, Jordan Balazovic, and Zac Gallen... thank you! (Nathan from Florida) | Man the Garcia talk has been extreme. I prrrobably slot him over Canning and Gallen and have it like this:
Garcia, Gallen, Canning, Weathers, Rodriguez, Balazovic (Craig Goldstein) |
2019-06-26 13:00:00 (link to chat) | How would you rank these young pitchers: Ryan Weathers, Cole Winn, Ethan Hankins, Shane Baz? Are any of them "must-adds" in 10-team dynasty leagues at this point in time? (Chris from DC) | Baz, Hankins, Winn, Weather for me. They're far enough away you could convince me not to bother with any arms that far off in a ten teamer but if I'm picking one it is Baz. (Craig Goldstein) |
2019-02-18 16:00:00 (link to chat) | Am I crazy for preferring Daniel Lynch to higher ranked lefties like Logan Allen and Ryan Weathers? Seems like he has a wider arsenal and if velocity gains stick around, he could be top 5ish. (6'11" Bottom from Getting butt surgery) | You're not crazy. I do think Lynch has the higher ceiling. He's just a higher risk too. Allen closest to the bigs, maybe #3-4 SP stuff. Lynch ceiling more #2 SP at peak. Weathers a solid #3 guy. But then ask again next year, and see how the SP prospects move around--and who avoids major injury. (Kevin Jebens) |
