2021-03-26 13:00:00 (link to chat) 8x8 mixed (OBP, SLG, HR,RBI,SB,TB+W,AVG..W,SV,IP,QS,K,K/9,ERA,WHIP)...can keep 2021,22,23 can only keep 7, have to cut 4... Brennan Davis, Geraldo Perdomo, Nolan Gorman, Heliot Ramos, Brandon Marsh, Marco Luciano, Austin Martin, Emerson Hancock, Grayson Rodriguez, Nick Lodolo, Braylen Marquez
(jepoyntz from North Carolina)
Not exactly sure whether you can only keep these players through 2023. If so, I'd cut Marquez, Rodriguez, Perdomo, and Hancock. I think Lodolo is the best bet of those arms to maximize that window. (Jesse Roche)
2020-03-27 13:00:00 (link to chat)Where would the top two pitchers from the 2020 draft (Lacy and Hancock) and the top two pitchers from the 2021 draft (Leiter and Rocker) rank on the top 100 if they were eligible? Thanks!
(Mr. Fister from Arlington)
Without graduations, only 2 crack the dynasty top 100:

52) Emerson Hancock
97) Kumar Rocker

Both Lacy and Leiter would fall in the 101-150 range. (Jesse Roche)
2020-03-20 13:00:00 (link to chat)Emerson Hancock's stock seemed to take a hit early this spring. I've read that his delivery has issues and that he has a slight head-whack. Is there anything else in the profile that should keep an MLB team or a dynasty owner from considering him the top pitcher in the class? With 2 plus pitches and 2 more above-average with above-average control, shouldn't he be a pretty sure bet to be a quality big league starter?
(Tentin Quarantino from In my TP castle)
The other concern is arm health (isn't it always). Hancock's command has been more hit or miss since his lat strain last year. I still prefer him as the top pitcher in this class.

Prep righties (Kelley or Abel) have a poor track record. Asa Lacy still has borderline command, despite dominant stuff. (Jesse Roche)
2020-03-13 13:00:00 (link to chat)Who are your top 10 prospects for 2021 first year player drafts? So basically, the guys that will be taken in this year's MLB draft. Craig told me to ask you.
(Brent from Tacoma)
1) Spencer Torkelson, 1B, ASU
2) Austin Martin, IF, Vanderbilt
3) Nick Gonzales, 2B, New Mexico State
4) Tetsuto Yamada, 2B, NPB (assuming posting)
5) Seiya Suzuki, OF, NPB (assuming posting)
6) Garrett Mitchell, OF, UCLA
7) Emerson Hancock, RHP, Georgia
8) Blaze Jordan, 1B/3B, HS
9) Zac Veen, OF, HS
10) Heston Kjerstad, OF, Arkansas

Others of note include the Cuban defectors (Pedro Leon and Oscar Colas); Jordan Walker, 3B, HS; Austin Hendrick, OF, HS; Casey Martin, SS, Arkansas; Asa Lacy, LHP, Texas A&M; and even Zach DeLoach, OF, Texas A&M. (Jesse Roche)
2020-02-21 13:00:00 (link to chat)Dynasty keeper league....available farm guys are Jasson Dominguez, D. Carlson, S. Howard, G. Rodriguez, Torkelson, Hancock, Austin Martin, Bleday, R. Greene. Please rank...Thanks
(Mr. Fister from Arlington)
Open universe!

(1) Dylan Carlson, (2) Jasson Dominguez, (3) Spencer Torkelson, (4) Austin Martin, (5) Emerson Hancock, (6) J.J. Bleday, (7) Spencer Howard, (8) Riley Greene & (9) Grayson Rodriguez (Jesse Roche)
2020-02-07 13:00:00 (link to chat)Would you trade a projected top-5 FYPD pick in 2021 for the right to move up from #7 to #5 this year to take JJ Bleday? Ottoneu-style points dynasty, not roto.
(Dansby from Atlanta)
No, I would not. The top 5 of the 2020 class should be stacked with the likes of Spencer Torkelson, Emerson Hancock, Austin Martin, and Nick Gonzales, all of which should be strong Ottoneu performers. Presumably, another player or two will separate themselves from the pack and round out the top of what should be a strong and deep draft class. I also would hazard a guess that Bleday falls to you at 7, and, if he does not, then you have your pick of Abrams, Witt, Carroll, or Greene, several of which I prefer to Bleday in Ottoneu. (Jesse Roche)
2019-11-01 12:00:00 (link to chat)good day Jeff!!!!!! Im in a scoresheet league where we can keep 5 rookies as keepers outside if 14 mlb players. Having Adley Rutschman,Emerson Hancock, Wander Franco, and Kristan Robinson im torn between Drew Waters and Miguel Amays as the 5 th?
(easterbrook from ontario canada)
Amaya has grown on me year over year, but given that catchers are weird and given Waters offensive upside, I'd feel pretty comfortable going with the outfield bat. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2019-08-28 12:00:00 (link to chat)Good day .......I have a conamdrum I am in a scoresheet league where 5 rookies are the maximun protection. having Rutschman, wander franco. Drew Waters, kristian robinson jordan grishans and Emerson Hancock which 2 would you toss back tho i have a good idea/ thanks
(easterbrook from ontario canada)
I'm mostly curious how you ended up with Emerson Hancock. Functionally you are picking two out of Robinson, Groshans, and Waters, and I'd probably let Groshans go given how far away he is and the foot issues. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2019-08-16 12:00:00 (link to chat)Assuming he is available, if you're drafting for the Orioles do you take Emerson Hancock and if not, who?
(smartishpace from Club Charles)
Making Draft decisions 10 months out is how you end up drafting Seth Beer 1.1 (Jeffrey Paternostro)
