2021-07-09 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Did Brennen Davis get consideration for the top 50? (Buff from Colorado) | He was 50 until Brujan got optioned yesterday (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2021-07-09 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Could you name a few hitters who just missed? Thanks for the chat. (Buff from colorado) | The aforementioned Brennen Davis, Gabriel Moreno would have been on without the injury, Oswald Peraza, Zac Veen, George Valera (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2020-08-14 14:00:00 (link to chat) | Please rank for dynasty purposes: Ronny Mauricio, Jordan Groshans, Orelvis Martinez, George Valera, Brennan Davis. Thank you - (TrickDaddy14 from ForDaKids) | George Valera (157)
Brennen Davis (187)
Jordan Groshans (202)
Ronny Mauricio (210)
Orelvis Martinez (294) (Jesse Roche) |
2019-10-11 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Who has the higher ceiling between Hunter Bishop and Brennen Davis? and who has the better chance of getting to that ceiling? (Bueno from Boise) | Bishop has the louder tools, Davis is probably the safer bat going forward. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |

2019-09-27 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Aside from some bad luck as far as getting hit by pitches, Brennen Davis seemed to open a lot of eyes this year. Assuming he has better luck staying on the field in 2020, is it fair to think he could be a big riser next year? (Levi from IL) | I suspect he will make our 101 this year, but I could see him jumping further with a full, healthy 2020, yeah. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2019-09-13 12:00:00 (link to chat) | How does Brennen Davis compare to the crop of OFs from the early first round this year (Bleday, Greene, Bishop)? (Ryan from Chicago) | It's easiest to compare prep OF to prep OF I think, and I'd take Davis slightly ahead of Greene based mostly on the pro production so far. It's not a wildly dissimilar tool set either. Bishop is more of a louder tools/boom or bust type profile. Bleday is the best overall of the group on balance. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2019-09-13 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Look into a crystal ball: Who is ranked higher going into the 2021 season? Corbin Carroll, Alek Thomas, Brennen Davis or Jeremiah Jackson? (Nicole from OR) | Thomas, but it's a fairly low confidence interval. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2019-09-06 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Where does Brennen Davis rank in the Cubs prospect list? Developed faster than expected, though had some unfortunate injuries this year from HBP (Will from Chicago) | He's in the mix with Amaya, Hoerner, Marquez at the top. NL Central is our last division this year so I have yet to develop a strong take on the order. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2019-08-02 16:00:00 (link to chat) | I took over a dynasty team and my minor league roster needs some long term upside in the OF. Who would you be targeting in the high upside, under 20,still in A ball crowd? Available cheap or free are: Valera, Robinson, Kepenic, Julio Rodriguez, Brennen Davis.
Thanks! (Lloyd Braun from Frank & Estelle's garage) | I am precisely not the person to answer this, but I am making it a point to drive 90 miles to see Kristian Robinson later this month before he leaves the blessed Northwest (if he hasn't gone already). But I would otherwise direct you to our midseason top 50, where Kelenic is the top name on this list by a fair margin. (Jon Hegglund) |
2019-07-08 20:00:00 (link to chat) | Brennen Davis the next big thing? (Quincy from Davenport) | There are others ahead of him on the next big thing list, but he got a pretty aggressive assignment and he's thriving. He's another one I expect we'll be taking a much harder look at after the season. (Jarrett Seidler) |
2019-06-26 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Where do Jordyn Adams and Brennen Davis fit on that list of young prospects that you ranked earlier (Robinson, Luciano/Rodriguez, Valera, Dominguez, Mauricio). (Chris from DC) | I don't have a great feel for Davis right now, honestly. Check back with me next week or so. Adams is a favorite of mine. Probably would put him in with Valera despite the rough start. (Craig Goldstein) |
