2020-02-21 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Kevin Alcantara or Ezequiel Duran? Who is more likely to be on the cover for MLB The Show? (Hustle from Los Angeles) | Alcantara. Potential 5-tool CF if everything falls right. (Jesse Roche) |
2019-11-08 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Convince me to why I (like you guys) should fall in love with Ezequiel Duran. Older IFA sign for only $10K, got beat up in Pulaski, and only plays 2B (Thomas from Twin Cities) | Three years on, bonus number don't really concern me. Gilberto Jimenez got the same check. You have to look at what's on the field at present and what you can project, and it's not like teams are close to perfect at identifying these guys at 16 (or in some cases, 15 or 14). Players develop at different paces and times. On Duran specifically, he was hurt for much of that Appy campaign, but it was clear this year that the bat was legit and he's a very good second baseman (that could probably slide over to SS once a week if he retains the athleticism in his 20s). 2019-08-06 12:00:00 (link to chat) | What would a full season stat line look like for Ezequiel Duran? (neel348 from New Haven) | I think I said .260/20 home runs in my eyewitness so maybe .260/.330/.450. There will be some variance there, and I've already gotten feedback that "fuck, he might be a 6." (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2019-08-21 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Trying to find the next big thing in the lower minors like Wander Franco, Marco Luciano, Julio Rodriguez. Any under the radar guys you think can make huge jumps that aren't well known? (Jim from Halifax) | Maybe someone like Noelvi Marte, if you're not looking at the current J2 class. I'm currently on Ezequiel Duran, who's an interesting second-base prospect with the Yankees. We talked about Johan Rojas on TINO recently, though he doesn't have the upside of guys like Franco, Luciano, or Rodriguez. (JP Breen) |
