2019-12-02 13:00:00 (link to chat) | IF Riley was still eligible where would he rank? What do you make of his hot start and then finish? what can we expect from him going forward? Riley vs Nomar Mazara? (brad from NJ) | Either Michael Baumann or I will be the last person to give up on Nomar Mazara. The race is on. (Atlanta Braves Top 10 Chat) |
2019-08-16 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Can Michael Baumann crack the Orioles rotation next year? What is holding them back from giving him a shot in September? (Sean from Boston) | So they have a lot of arms broadly about as ready for a major league look as Baumann. Wells, Kremer, Lowther, Zimmerman. I guess I would rank Kremer slightly higher although he's less likely to start long term, and I weirdly like Wells. But It's going to come down to organizational pref which I'm not privy too, and can barely figure out my own pref here. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2019-08-14 13:00:00 (link to chat) | My dynasty league team had been great but ran into bad H2H luck this year. So I traded Sale, Verlander, Encarnacion and others for Dustin May and Michael Baumann. Did I do well? Sale and Verlander just seem easily replaceable to me. (Haddy from Minnesota) | You didn't do great, Haddy. I would not view them as replaceable, no. (Craig Goldstein) |
2019-06-19 13:00:00 (link to chat) | For your money, who has the best/most appropriate column name at BP, i.e. Deep But Playable? (Bob from Earth) | I don't know if you mean current or encompassing all of BP but assuming the latter I'll go with Michael Baumann's Fifth Column (Craig Goldstein) |
2019-05-15 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Is it possible Josh Bell can become a .300/.400/.500 guy for real? He was always considered a good hit tool guy with power to develop. It’s only been a month and change but is he a dynasty top 10 first baseman? (Joe from Chicago) | I think Bell fits into what I discussed with Michael Baumann on The Ringer MLB Show yesterday a bit. Hit over power types are going to benefit from the rabbit ball as long as they still have some power, and Bell definitely does. I think that's possible for him assuming the ball stays what it is. (Craig Goldstein) |
2018-07-13 15:00:00 (link to chat) | Buddy Reed is having himself a breakout year. Do you think he can be a top 50 guy by next midseason or is that pushing it? (Rudy from China) | Did Michael Baumann put you up to this? (probably pushing it) (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
