Do you expect to see either soon and what are your projected ceilings for both of these pitchers? Thanks! (Jack from Mechanicsburg) | I actually like Houck quite a bit as a back-end, five-inning type starter. I don't have a ton of thoughts on Jefferies honestly. He's never been my cup of tea but I hope he can stay healthy and be something akin to what I described Houck as. (Craig Goldstein) |

(Vanessa from Des Moines) | Love to see Jefferies at least temporarily win that final spot in the rotation. I do think he will not hold that spot for very long. Mike Fiers will return and slot back into the rotation. (I know, groan!). Absent an injury, the A's rotation is set. Plus, the A's will want to manage Jefferies innings again this year so he may only get ~100 innings, but unlikely much more than that. (Jesse Roche) |
