2019-12-02 13:00:00 (link to chat)Where does Bryse Wilson stand within the organization? Will he have a starting role in ATL? Start the year in minors?
(Craig from Chicago)
A good question. If I worked in the Braves org, I'd probably give him one more year as a starter in Triple-A but with an eye towards moving him to the MLB pen in the second half if the team needs it. Once you come out of the tank and are a first division team, org needs take priority over development or giving more volatile prospect arms shots in the rotation. He might also be a guy I'd look to deal as he could use a change of scenery for a clean shot as a starter somewhere. I'm still a fan. (Atlanta Braves Top 10 Chat)
2019-07-19 12:00:00 (link to chat)Thanks for chatting with us. What are your thoughts on Bryse Wilson? He's really fastball-heavy, but I think he shows poise and is aggressive in the zone, which seem great for a 21 year old. Could he possibly be the Braves' closer long term?
(Beef Lastname from Wellington)
The Braves approach to their young arms this year has been a little confounding to me. I get that they have A LOT of them, and are also in a competition cycle, but one look at their Roster Resource page makes it pretty clear that it's a bit of a mess right now. They seem to be leaning on the hot hand (currently Kyle Wright), and have dealt with a fair bit of injuries, but we just don't have enough info about Wilson in the majors yet to move off what we have thought of him previously. That does carry a fair bit of reliever risk, but he's a guy I'd like to see them give 180 innings as a starter to see what they really have. Tough to do in a pennant race of course. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2019-03-15 16:00:00 (link to chat)Out of the following potential 3/4 starters, what order would your top 3 be based on upside and potential to actually achieve it? T. Santillan, L. Patino, E. Pardinho, A. Medina, S. Howard, B. Graterol, G. Canning, B. Wilson, and L. Oviedo.
(Dan Levitan from Saigon)
I like Bryse Wilson a lot and think we could hear from him this season. As far as the top 3 I'll go Wilson, Graterol and Canning. (Mark Barry)
2019-03-11 16:00:00 (link to chat)Who are your favorite rookie pitchers this year? (Meaning...favorites to make an impact)
(Buddy from Peoria, IL)
Luzardo, as per the previous answer, is a clear one. The fast-moving Jose Suarez on the Angels is a less obvious name, and if their injury fortune is as poor as previous seasons, he could get a decent look. There are a ton of Braves who could be there - I kinda like Bryse Wilson to carve out a spot. (Darius Austin)
2019-02-06 21:00:00 (link to chat)I am rebuilding in a dynasty league and the core of my team is made up of Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber, Bichette, Adell, Huira, Luzardo, Walker Buehler, Flaherty and Jameson Tallion. Some prospects that I have that are further away are Kelenic, Swaggerty, Hoerner, Oneill Cruz, Bryse Wilson, Eric Pardinho, Graterol, and Corbin Martin. From a roster construction stand point, would you trade Keston Huira for Forrest Whitley because I seem to have more hitting depth and Whitley has a shot to be an ace or would you keep Huira because pitchers are hurt so often and hitters tend to last a decade? Muchas Gracias. I will save you some rings.
(Sonic Not the Hedgehog from Eating Rings Somewhere)
I would not make that trade. If you're rebuilding, there's no reason to push in for pitchers until you're ready to turn the corner. -BS (Dynasty 101 Chat w/ Ben Carsley and Bret Sayre)
2019-02-06 21:00:00 (link to chat)What type of fantasy impact do you see for Bryse Wilson> Is the concern he is a reliever or does his upside limit him in dynasty
(Brenden from Houston)
I think he can start, but I also think he has a lower ceiling than about 7 or 8 other Braves starters. I'm kind of hoping he gets traded to a pitching-needy team. He could be a fine, if uninspiring, fantasy SP5. - BC (Dynasty 101 Chat w/ Ben Carsley and Bret Sayre)
2018-08-29 19:00:00 (link to chat)Is Touki the top arm in the Braves system?
(Lenny from March of dimes)
Hmm. I can't decide from him, Ian Anderson and maybe Bryse Wilson? OK, maybe not Wilson, I'm just really biased toward him. The first two have top of the rotation upside. Feels like every starter in that org is at worst a mid-rotation guy. Sheesh. (Eddy Almaguer)
2018-05-25 12:15:00 (link to chat)Who are your favorite pop up arms so far this season? Jalen Beeks and Denis Santana come to mind.
(Charlie from Sunnyvale)
I mentioned Paddack just before, but guys like Suarez who was mentioned earlier in the chat...Francisco Morales and Spencer Howard from Philly. Bryse Wilson in Atlanta. Oh and speaking of Atlanta, we need to be talking about Touki Toussaint like we used to. (Craig Goldstein)
2018-01-31 14:00:00 (link to chat)Are guys like Bryse Wilson, Adbert Alzolay, and Andres Giminez in your top 100? If not, how close are they?
(Fantasy player from Easton, pa)
The 101 should be coming pretty soon, so all questions will be answered. I would guess Giminez might get the closest. If not the top 100, then the 100 after that. If not, then definitely the 100 after that. (Mark Barry)
