2020-09-02 13:00:00 (link to chat)Hi Jesse! Thanks again for the rankings! I was wondering what your thoughts are on Isan Diaz and Abraham Toro. I have both in my minors in a deep dynasty league with 30 minor spots. Was hoping they would become decent bench pieces but now I'm thinking of cutting for some lotto ticket J2 guys. What are your thoughts?
(Alex from Texas)
I would hold in a deep league unless you are replacing with like prospects. It is not like you will see a value boost for any international prospects until next June/July anyway. Of course, if someone like Maximo Acosta is available (or a prospect ranked higher on the Top-500), then go for it. Between the two, I prefer Diaz. (Jesse Roche)
2020-02-14 13:00:00 (link to chat)What is your ceiling projection for Abraham Toro?
(Moriancumer from Logan)
.270/20/5 (Jesse Roche)
2020-01-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)What are your thoughts on Abraham Toro? He seems to have a good hit tool, esp. from the left side. How do you see his 2020 and his future career going down?
(The Colonel from Pasadena, CA)
45/50 type, for me, I think. Good hit tool for sure, but the pop is pretty moderate. Very useful piece overall and you're not screwed if he's starting for a stretch but I'd rather him as a bench piece than a starter overall. (Craig Goldstein)
2019-05-31 13:00:00 (link to chat)Would you drop Luis Garcia (WAS) for any of: Grayson Rodriguez, Abraham Toro, Logan Allen, Brady Singer, Jackson Kower, or Jordan Groshans?
(Alex from Austin)
It's important to remember that Garcia is a 19-year-old in Double-A. He should be allowed to struggle for a bit. I wouldn't drop him for any of those players that you mentioned. Groshans would be the one to watch, though. (J.P. Breen)
