2019-05-06 23:45:00 (link to chat)Time to get on the Lolo Sanchez train?
(Buff from Colorado)
Yeah, the talent has been evident for a while, just a question of whether he'll hit. Jarrett and others were no fans of his bat path last year, and while he's been producing this year the limited video I've seen doesn't look like much has changed on that front, so we'll see what's what. He's very fast and defensively tooled-up, and obviously if the production continues it's gonna force a revisit right quick. Definitely a dude to watch closely in the months ahead. (Wilson Karaman)
2019-05-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)What is Calvin Mitchell and Lolo Sanchez's upside? They seem to be having good years.
(Tom from Des Moines)
Mitchell I like as a second-division regular with a chance to be a touch more than that. With Sanchez it really comes down to whether you think he's a CF. If you do, I think you can get to like, the good Mallex Smith season, perhaps? (Craig Goldstein)
2019-04-19 18:00:00 (link to chat)Besides Wander Franco... Who would you top 5 A-ball or lower prospects be... looking to target some in my dynasty league.
(Marcus from Toronto)
Top 5? I'm not much of a ranker. I'm more of a grouper. Especially at the lower levels there is so much variance. I like Mets' SS Ronny Mauricio, Indians' MI Brayan Rocchio, Cleveland pitcher Luis Oviedo, Pirates' OF Lolo Sanchez, Brewers' MI Felix Valerio and Yankees' pitcher Roansy Contreras. (Scott Delp)
2018-05-25 12:15:00 (link to chat)Lolo Sanchez's numbers look... awful. Conceding that "giving up" on a prospect can always look bad later, is he the type of player you churn off your roster in dynasty in favor of someone whose stock is trending upward?
(Ryan from Pittsburgh)
Yeah, absolutely. I think you can always keep in mind what made a guy interesting in the first place, but in terms of fantasy, the tail end roster spots should absolutely be open to churn. (Craig Goldstein)
2018-04-19 13:00:00 (link to chat)What are Cole Tucker and Lolo Sanchez's upside?
(Jimbo from Utah)
I think Tucker's a good fit for the Pirates. Mercer's going to walk. Tucker, I think, will provide more bat and less glove than Mercer. But given the way the game's evolving--more balls in the air, more shifting of infielders (or at least not *less* shifting), the importance of a really strong glove at short is diminishing. Think Seager and Correa--not that they're slouches, but they're not phenomenal with the glove. They don't have to be! I think Tucker will be a net upgrade.

Sanchez is 18, so my Shane Baz racehorse analogy applies. He's only 18, but so far he's shown good speed and a good glove but nothing exceptional with the bat. Upside would be Starling Marte but I'm guessing he falls short offensively, which will limit him. But he's only 18! He can change! (Rob Mains)
