2019-05-01 12:00:00 (link to chat)Is Corbin Burnes destined for the bullpen or can he turn it around as a SP?
(Garth from Waterloo)
I wonder if he's another guy struggling with feel for the "new" ball. His profile was always going to lend itself to occasional gopher ball issues, but I'd be bullish on him figuring it out. Dunno if that's gonna be in the PCL with the same ball though. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2019-04-24 13:00:00 (link to chat)What happened to Corbin Burnes? Will he be strictly a relief arm moving forward or is there still a chance he puts it together as a starter?
(Flipai from Maryland)
He got sent to Triple-A. Is that not helpful? Okay, fine.

I think he remains a starter (or at least gets multiple shots going forward). He gave up entirely too many homers despite massive spin on his fastball. I haven't dug into it but I'd guess it's poor location up in the zone. Pair that with the ball and it's an issue. That said, a 58% HR/FB doesn't seem entirely sustainable either. (Craig Goldstein)
2018-06-22 13:00:00 (link to chat)How good is Corbin Martin? Possible to be in the '19 Top 101 discussion?
(Bobby Bradley's 40-time from MA)
These dudes tend to be in discussion in like the 80-150 tier and I tend to not love them. But he's also basically having the Corbin Burnes season and Burnes made it. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2018-04-20 12:00:00 (link to chat)Who has a higher ceiling, Corbin Burnes or Mitch Keller?
(Jeff from California )
Keller has a legit shot at being an ace (not saying that's my projection, mind you, but I wouldn't be shocked or anything). Burnes looks more a good #3. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2018-04-23 20:00:00 (link to chat)Who has the highest ceiling between Corbin Burnes, Mitch Keller or Mike Soroka? All 3 seem to be #2-#3 types so far.
(Jeff from California )
Keller. More K potential with similar control to the other two. (Eddy Almaguer)
2018-02-05 12:00:00 (link to chat)What is it about Corbin Burnes that got him ranked so highly? Think he gets a sniff in Milwaukee in September?
(Jason from Milwaukee)
Fastball velocity popped a bit this year. Slider and change took a step forward. I'd expect to see him at some point in 2018. But a lot of that depends on where they are in the race and what arms they add in the interim. (Top 101 with Jeffrey Paternostro)
2017-06-13 12:00:00 (link to chat)Should Corbin Burnes be rostered in a dynasty league with 200+ prospects? Feels like there's a sudden amount of helium with him. Any thoughts on the righty?
(Wesley from Wisconsin)
Absolutely, he should be. I saw him and if I had to bet, I'd guess reliever but he's done nothing but shove recently and has the potential to arrive pretty quickly, if the Brewers want to push him harder. I'd still be looking for that third pitch to develop before going crazy over him. (Craig Goldstein)
2017-04-28 13:30:00 (link to chat)There are some interesting tools guys in the low minors who are putting things together so far this year: Monte Harrison, Marcus Wilson, and Demi Orimoloye to name a few. Do you have any favorites you can say a few words about?
(This Guy from Seattle, WA)
I think I've covered Harrison and Wilson in depth. Orimoloye I liked out of the draft but was always going to be a slow burn. While we're talking Milwaukee prospects, I love love love Lucas Erceg, and am highly intrigued by Mario Feliciano. I'll be catching High-A Carolina tomorrow for a double-header so should have more thoughts on Corey Ray, Corbin Burnes, etc too. Estevan Florial is also a name to watch if you're not already. (Craig Goldstein)
