2017-04-28 13:30:00 (link to chat)Craig, What do you know about the health statuses of Dillon Tate, Thomas Szapucki and Tyler Jay? Thanks
(RAWagman from CST)
I don't have anything on Tate. Szapucki had a shoulder impingement and was supposedly throwing at the end of camp. Jay has a shoulder issue (along with Gonsalves). Not sure on when they'll throw again. (Craig Goldstein)
2016-12-15 13:00:00 (link to chat)Bets Yankees prospect no one is talking about?
(A.J. from Phoenix)
Honestly, Dillon Tate's velocity is back, which could be scary. There's a guy you dint hear about when it comes to trade deadline acquisitions. (Kenny Ducey)
2016-12-08 23:00:00 (link to chat)In a keep forever dynasty league, you holding onto Dillon Tate or Touki Toussaint?
(terps993 from Maryland)
Touki, not close. Tate's a reliever, I've been fairly certain of that since my first glimpse of him at UCSB, and I dunno what to make of his season in 2016. Maybe the Yanks can fix him. Touki's present command sucks, but he's an elite athlete and I will always bet on elite athletes. Especially when they've got filthy three-pitch mixes. (Wilson Karaman)
2016-11-22 20:00:00 (link to chat)Any chance Dillon Tate or Billy McKinney can restore their previous luster? Tate showed improvement post-trade.
(Chris from NY)
Tate was so bad when I saw him in the Sally that I have real questions over whether he can start, but the bullpen fallback is real. Maybe not worth a number 4 overall pick, and he's in a system with a lot of guys that could be very good relievers, but he's still a real prospect.

I didn't like McKinney's hit tool in Trenton this year, and I'm not sure there's enough else there to carry the profile. (Jarrett Seidler)
2016-06-21 20:00:00 (link to chat)What's up Scooter. Dynasty league, obp and slg. Would you trade Dillon Tate and Dahl for Hosmer? Thanks!
(Steve from SF)
I don't play dynasty, so I'm not the expert, but if you're going for it this year and need an upgrade at 1B, it's pretty good for you. Dahl is having a great year, but Tate is a long way off and consequently has a lot of variance in terms of what he could become. (Scooter Hotz)
2016-05-31 19:00:00 (link to chat)Does Dillon Tate become a starter or reliever?
(Ron from Texarkana)
I'll go with starter because of the arm action and delivery. It's relatively clean with no outstanding issues. (James Fisher)
2016-04-19 12:00:00 (link to chat)I've been having trouble carving out the time to catch some of the prospects in my area, so I'm afraid I'm going to make a choice between seeing Dillon Tate or Anderson Espinoza pitch. Purely from an entertainment perspective, who would you rather go enjoy in person?
(Adam from North Carolina)
That's so tough! They're both the highest-upside minor league arms to see in North Carolina...

I'll say Tate, just because he won't be in the minors (or maybe even at Hickory) for as long as Espinoza given the difference in age and experience. (Adam McInturff)
2016-03-07 13:00:00 (link to chat)Dynasty league. Tulo for Puig and Dillon Tate. Thoughts?
(Steve from Philly)
Depends on who your new shortstop is, but the Puig side all day. (Bryan Grosnick)
2016-03-09 19:00:00 (link to chat)Could you rank these pitchers for fantasy dynasty purposes. Jeff Hoffman, Brady Aiken, Dillon Tate, Aderson Espinoza, Francis Martes, Carson Fulmer, and Kolby Allard? Thanks.
(cracker73 from Florida)
Tate, Hoffman, Espinoza, Fullmer, Martes, Aiken, Allard (Mike Gianella)
2016-03-09 19:00:00 (link to chat)Which prospect pitcher do you like the most long term and why? Brady Aiken, Dillon Tate, Kolby Allard, or Carson Fulmer. Thanks.
(fightingmoose from MB, Canada)
I like the ceiling on Tate. Dude can dial it up and if the secondaries are there for him, I could see him being dominant. They all have a shot of being very good though. (Mike Gianella)
2016-03-09 19:00:00 (link to chat)Would you go Cody Reed, Dillon Tate, or Ian Happ in a prospect draft? Trying to compete this season, if that changes things.
(Alex from Austin)
Happ. I don't think the this year component matters. (Mike Gianella)
2016-03-04 13:00:00 (link to chat)If you are competing this season, who would you want more on your dynasty squad: Cody Reed, Francis Martes, Dillon Tate, or Anderson Espinoza (since he has to be in every question)?
(Alex from Austin)
Martes and Reed have the best chance of impacting in the majors this year, Martes is the guy for me. I think either could be a lights-out reliever right away (Reed was 99 with a Warthen-esque 90-91 SL in his one inning at the Cal-Carolina AS Game last year), but I'd trust Martes' arsenal and command for a better chance at starting effectively when he debuts. (Wilson Karaman)
2016-01-20 13:00:00 (link to chat)Who are your top 3 prospects from last years draft and recent int'l signings?
(mbeemsterboer from Wisconsin)
From the draft it'd be Brendan Rodgers, Dansby Swanson and Dillon Tate. From the international signings it'd be Yadier Alvarez, Eddy Julio Martinez and Vlad Guerrero, Jr. (Christopher Crawford)
