2018-04-10 13:00:00 (link to chat)Who are some up and coming prospects that maybe are not on the top 100 for fantasy that we should be looking out for?
(Jake from State Farm)
Mitchell White has a nice K/9 in the minors, but the BB/9 has climbed as well, up to 4.2 in Double-A last year. I also like Alex Faedo in Detroit, an above average fastball and slider. Chris Shaw is a guy who doesn't have elite upside but should produce as an average contributor. (Kevin Jebens)
2018-02-28 20:00:00 (link to chat)Who are some ETA 2018 prospects that could help a contender in dynasty? Like outside the top 25 on the 101 (already rostered). Thanks
(Jojo from Sd )
Not sure if you mean past 25th overall or outside the top 100? Woodruff, C.Burnes, Gohara, Y. Chirinos, Dustin Fowler, Chris Shaw, Sandy Alcantara, C. Stewart, W.Adames, Jose Adolis Garcia, R.Arozarena, R.Armenteros, T.Mahle. (Eddy Almaguer)
2017-10-17 20:00:00 (link to chat)Is it me, or does it feel like a foregone conclusion that the Giants will find a way to trade for Giancarlo Stanton? Any idea what package would get it done, maybe something like Chris Shaw, Tyler Beede, Heliot Ramos, Austin Slater, and Steven Okert?
(matzabal from CO)
Haha, I'm not so sure it's foregone, but they're an easy spot to visualize him landing. I think a lot of previously rebuilding teams are probably in the running for him, since slotting him in the OF is a good way to suddenly create a good offense. Odds on, I'd say the Giants make a strong, if not the strongest run.

I don't think it's going to be a bunch of prospects for him kind of deal though. My guess is that some team is going to have to take on salary and give up probably their top prospect, especially since Jeter is going to want his GM to make an initial statement. I think I'd need Arroyo in there as well as Beede and Shaw. (Trevor Strunk)
2017-08-16 13:00:00 (link to chat)What's your take on Chris Shaw? Can he play the outfield? Will he be the power bat the Giants so desperately need?
(Buff from CO)
Shaw has been an interesting name for awhile. He's striking out a little too much for my liking at Triple-A, but he's also slugging over .525, so I guess you just deal with it. If Schwarber can play the outfield, I don't see why Shaw couldn't. (Mark Barry)
2017-04-28 13:30:00 (link to chat)You buying the good start to the season by Chris Shaw?
(Ryan from Montreal)
He's 23 and going back to Double-A after 60 games there so...sure I'll buy it in that I believe he can beat up Double-A. Do I think the increase in walk rate and decrease in strikeout rate holds up? No. But he's a Giants hitting prospect so I'll inevitably be wrong. (Craig Goldstein)
