2018-06-22 13:00:00 (link to chat)The top 10 current prospects Mike Rizzo has traded away are the ____th best top 10 in baseball. A list for you to choose from: Jesus Luzardo, Sheldon Neuse, Dane Dunning, Taylor Hearn, Blake Perkins, Kelvin Gutierrez, Yohanse Morel, Tyler Watson, McKenzie Mills, Pedro Avila, Max Schrock, and Travis Ott.
(Andrew from Boston)
It's a decent top three in Jesus Lizard, Dunning, Hearn, but it drops off pretty quickly. Bottom five, better than the Mariners and the Giants off the top of my head. Rizzo gets a bit underrated as a GM still I think. (Jeffrey Paternostro)
2017-07-31 23:00:00 (link to chat)Who is your favorite A's prospect, and why is it Max Schrock?
(Carlo from NorCal)
Couple Puk questions, so I'll use this one as opportunity, as it garners a bonus mention for Schrock on his player page. A.J. Puk is...unique physically. I'm *not* putting a Randy Johnson comp on anyone here, okay, so let's get that straight. But if you were gonna ask me for one dude in minor league baseball to struggle putting it together for most of his 20's, then all of a sudden develop into a monster that strikes out the world at 29, he'd be the interrupting-cow name outta my mouth. That stuff from that arm slot with that extension is disgusting. If he ever gets remotely consistent with it...weeeeeee

2017-02-06 23:00:00 (link to chat)On a scale from 1 to Cistulli, how much do you believe in Max Schrock?
(Carlo from California)
Yeah, I'm fairly bullish on him as at least a deep-league player in the not too distant future, potentially one with some helpful positional versatility if Oakland works him into different situations. I wrote him up in the Ocean's Floor a couple weeks ago: http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=31046 (Wilson Karaman)
