2020-01-29 13:00:00 (link to chat) | What is the expected timeline for Spencer Howard to get a call up? What is a reasonable expectation for performance upon call up? (Craig from Chicago) | Mid-June? I'm guessing there, I don't have a great sense if Philly would turn to him if someone is out for a bit or if they'd try to spot start like, Enyel De Los Santos for a little. I'd expect him to miss bats and miss the zone, not the type to dominate immediately. (Craig Goldstein) |
2018-06-20 19:00:00 (link to chat) | what do you think is a realistic future for Enyel De Los Santos? 4/5? Pen arm? any worry about the short stride? (Brad from NJ) | think he'll stick as a starter. i'm a little worried but thinking the mechanics can be fixed. (Mike Gianella) |
2018-07-16 19:00:00 (link to chat) | Enyel De Los Santos a 3? (Kevin from With Col watching Kai) | That might be a little lofty, but not totally unreasonable. (Jarrett Seidler) |
2018-05-25 12:15:00 (link to chat) | Enyel De Los Santos is excelling this year at age 22 in AAA. How much has he improved his stock and what does he profile as long-term? (Dave from PA) | He's been a fun arm for a long time. I think perception is catching up to his talent. I think he's a high-volatility starter or a really fun reliever. It's always dicey to predict how those guys turn out, but it wouldn't shock me if he was a guy who saw the back end of the rotation on a bunch of mediocre to bad teams looking for him to take a leap, before figuring it out for a random season or two. (Craig Goldstein) |
2016-09-21 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Anyone in the Padres system you like more than most minor league evaluators? (Philip from San Diego) | He got a little lost in the shuffle on their prospect-heavy rotation in Fort Wayne, but Enyel De Los Santos could be a decent starter and he doesn't get a lot of love. I'd have said Luis Urias a few months ago, but I think people are coming around on him. (Brendan Gawlowski) |
2016-03-14 14:30:00 (link to chat) | Do you have any Low Minor prospects you are high on that aren't really known but you think that by this time next year may have some buzz? (David from Atlantis) | From the NWL, Jake Brentz, Luis Liberato, Enyel De Los Santos, Mac Marshall, Yeyson Yrizarri. If I had to take a deeeep dive, Zack Nehrir, Lane Thomas, and Carlos Hernandez. Eloy Jimenez and Justin Steele probably don't count because Cubs, but I liked them too. Colin Young wants me to say Brett Kennedy. (Brendan Gawlowski) |
