2019-08-28 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Who is your favorite prospect in AAA, AA, A+, A-? (Mitch from Chicago) | Favorite doesn't mean best, just so we are clear:
AAA: Harol Gonzalez
AA: Sixto
A+: Lazarito
A: Johan Rojas (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2019-08-16 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Who is your biggest personal cheeseball right now? (chad from DE) | Do you remember those old Sunday NFL ads (I think it was for Bud Light) where they always ranked Al Del Greco as the best football player ever. That's me for personal cheeseballs, but it's Harol Gonzalez. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2016-11-22 20:00:00 (link to chat) | No love for Harol Gonzalez? Also, what a great name...Harol (Eric from Brooklyn) | I love Harol Gonzalez, but he's really tiny and blowing dudes short-season hitters away with advanced off-speeds and command. I think he's going to at least end up as like a good Double-A pitcher, but there's a long way from that to a good MLB pitcher. (Jarrett Seidler) |
2016-11-22 20:00:00 (link to chat) | Hey Jarrett--- big fan of the podcast. Can you rank Curtis Granderson, Jay Bruce and Juan Lagares in terms of trade value? Also, can you give me an idea of what each could fetch in a trade, in Mets prospect terms (so I can better understand)? For example, maybe Jay Bruce gets you a Merandy Gonzalez type prospect, idk. (Ruby from NYC) | Granderson: maybe on the high end someone like Gavin Cecchini? I definitely think a Molina or Merandy kind of arm would be out there
Bruce: pretty much the same
Lagares: someone like Harol Gonzalez, and a lot of salary relief (Jarrett Seidler) |
2016-08-05 13:00:00 (link to chat) | Most likely another team signing me? (Angel Cuan from 27/M/Panama) | Funnily enough, I was clearing out a backlog of notebooks and getting them digitized, and a 2014 Angel Cuan look popped up. I think I got Tyler Pill and Alex Panteliodis in that series too, and my 10th through 12th looks at Kevin Plawecki or something. Cuan got way more out of his stuff and body than he should have, and now that I think about it, he isn't the worst comp for Harol Gonzalez (other than the handedness, and Harol's raw stuff is better). Double-A is tough for these profiles. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
2016-06-07 12:00:00 (link to chat) | Jeffrey. Are there any Low Minor Mets Prospects you are higher on then others who haven't been discussed? (Alexei from At Work) | I would assume Ali Sanchez, Desmond Lindsay, and Luis Carpio are fairly well-known nowadays. I liked Harol Gonzalez in Kinsport last year, but I don't know if the frame holds up as a starter and it is far more polish than projection. Nabil Crismatt has a chance to make a major league pen. I liked what I saw from Max Wottell in a brief GCL look. Arnaldo Berrios is fun as a mini-Baez that will never hit even as much as maxi-Baez. I guess Raphael Ramirez is my guy, he is super-raw, but it's a true CF profile with some potential pop. (Jeffrey Paternostro) |
