2016-08-10 13:00:00 (link to chat)What are some sleepers in The midwest League?
(Twin from Cali)
Here's a few... Ryan Helsley for Peoria, Ruddy Giron for Fort Wayne, Rayder Ascanio and Luiz Gohara for Clinton, Sam Hentges for Lake County and Fernery Ozuna for Kane County. (James Fisher)
2016-03-28 13:00:00 (link to chat)Ruddy Giron went from subpar numbers in 2014 to outstanding numbers for his age in Fort Wayne last year. I've read a lot hyping his intangibles as a reason for that jump. What are your thoughts on his long-term future?
(Steve from PHI)
I don't have a great personal feel for him, though I have seen him twice. I see a hit over power bat--saw some good, hard, line-drive contact from a linear and short path in Arizona.

Would be grasping at straws, though, if I said more. (Adam McInturff)
2016-03-03 13:00:00 (link to chat)Scouting a stat line, I see a strong similarity between Ruddy Giron and Rougned Odor at the same age -- short middle infielders with similar pretty good lines as 18 year olds in A ball -- in both cases accompanied by good reports on their make-up. Is there anything to this comparison?
(edwardarthur from Illinois)
I think that's the best case for Giron, but I don't think he's nearly as talented, with all due respect to him. I might be overrating Odor, but I don't think Giron is ever an above-average regular up the middle. (Christopher Crawford)
2015-08-12 13:00:00 (link to chat)Who do you prefer long-term Amed Rosario or Ruddy Giron ?
(Carl from Chicago)
Rosario. But a fairly substantial margin. Giron has really improved, but I just love Rosario's skillset. (Christopher Crawford)
2015-08-13 20:00:00 (link to chat)Best three very under the radar prospects you've uncovered this year?
(Ben from Baltimore )
I had Anthony Alford in the preseason (ask Bissell if you don't believe me), I was pretty early on Nottingham and I love Ruddy Giron's stat line. Still kinda limited info on GIron but what he's achieved as the youngest player in the MWL is impressive. (Greg Wellemeyer)
2015-06-18 13:00:00 (link to chat)As a Padres fan, how excited should I be about Ruddy Giron?
(padremurph from Los Angeles)
Probably not as excited as you would like to be. Giron is young for the level and having a nice year, but we're early in the season and he posted a .427 OPS in '14. He could be interesting, he could be nothing. Too soon to know either way. (R.J. Anderson)
2015-06-22 13:00:00 (link to chat)Better Single-A SS prospect: Richard Urena, Javier Guerra, or Ruddy Giron? Also, thank you for the prospect chat that is both lengthy and girthy.
(Barry from Wyoming)
I don't get described as girthy all that often, so thank you. I'll take Guerra. I really like him. (Jeff Moore)
