2019-03-04 16:00:00 (link to chat)Your thoughts on Ozzie Albies going forward? Top 5 2B or or top 5 in strikeouts? Both? Thanks!
(Kid from Lookin' at Joe Jackson)
I think Albies is caught in the Acuna vortex and is seen as something of a disappointment in comparison. He was 21 all of last season, didn't strike out a ton and was an efficient base stealer. He's still on the good list for me, though I'll be looking at how he starts after last year's second half. (Scott Delp)
2018-11-29 23:00:00 (link to chat)Just dealt Ozzie Albies for Adalberto Mondesi in a 14 tm h2h keeper. Thoughts?
(dtothew from Atlanta )
Mondesi's always been a tough guy to evaluate in terms of fantasy value because he was SO aggressively pushed throughout his minor-league career, and last year's explosion swung the pendulum that much further in the other direction. I think I like him more than Albies longterm, particularly if you've got another decent 2B option and needed 6-spot value? If what he showed last year holds, he's a superstar. If 60% of it holds, he's a very good fantasy asset for a very long time. (Wilson Karaman)
2018-05-11 13:00:00 (link to chat)True or false: Ozzie Albies is the best 2B in the NL not named Jose Altuve.
(Marty from Atlanta)
I mean Jose Altuve hasn't been in the NL in a few years now? If you're wondering if he's the second-best 2B in baseball, the answer is yes. (Nicolas Stellini)
2018-05-04 13:00:00 (link to chat)What the hell has gotten into Ozzie Albies?
(Buddy from Peoria, IL)
Dingers. I seriously have no idea, but I hope he stays this way. (Anthony Rescan)
2017-05-22 23:00:00 (link to chat)Be honest, how often are you tempted to pronounce Ozhaino Albies' 1st name "oh-ZHAAIII-no" the way Tommy Wiseau says "oh HAAII Mark"?
(Greg Sestero from Guerrero Street)
Honestly, as a fully Calified brah these days, his first name is properly three words forever: "O's heeeey know" (Wilson Karaman)
2015-02-04 19:00:00 (link to chat)Thanks for the chat! End of my dynasty keeper list, keep two of three: Jorge Mateo, Ozhaino Albies, Rio Ruiz. Who ya got and why?
(Rob from Alaska)
I like Mateo quite a bit more than most. Legit top of the scale runner. Albies is an intriguing profile, although he's got some 'shiny new toy' type love right now. None of his flaws have been exposed. Plus, he has an outstanding name. Aforementioned, I'm the low man on Ruiz. And, especially from a fantasy POV, Ruiz is playing a less important position than the other two. (Jordan Gorosh)
2015-01-15 18:00:00 (link to chat)What are your thoughts on Ozhaino Albies? Is he a better long-term SS prospect than, say, Amed Rosario or Raul Mondesi?
(Two74 from Florida)
Intriguing set of tools, but also an incredibly long ways off. Mondesi is light years ahead of Albies as a long-term shortstop prospect, and as a resident believer in Rosario, I'm not inclined to put Albies in his class either. (Mark Anderson)
2014-11-04 18:00:00 (link to chat)What can you tell me about Braves ss Ozhaino Albies and where might he rank among other ss prospects?
(scott from az)
I think Albies is a guy to keep an eye on, but he's not a guy I'm prepared to really start pumping quite yet. He's drastically undersized and lacks strength of any kind right now. I like the profile of the glove at shortstop and believe he can make that work, but I'm still concerned that the bat is going to end up light because he just doesn't have the size and strength to swing it with anything resembling authority. (Mark Anderson)
2014-10-23 14:00:00 (link to chat)Starting to hear some buzz on Ozhaino Albies, ss, ATL, what can you tell me about him and where might he rank among ss prospects?
(Scott from AZ)
I am a bit behind the ball on position player prospects, so I will go ahead and defer to the awesome BP Prospect crew for this one. (Doug Thorburn)
