2020-03-06 13:00:00 (link to chat)What are we supposed to do with Brad Keller in a 16 team dynasty league, 28mlb, 24milb? Seems like industry is vaguely hopeful. Obvi not much on the wire, but guys will pop up, like Houser last year or Keegan Akin maybe this year. Thanks!
(whiskeyblood78 from NYC)
Keller is fine. He is a sinker/slider specialist who generates tons of grounders and few whiffs. I would expect him to continue to outperform metrics like FIP/xFIP since he strikes few hitters out, walks plenty, and consistently has sub-.300 BABIP. The guy pitches to contact and generates a bunch of weak grounders. Plus, he has a solid middle infield behind him (Mondesi/Lopez). Keller should not hurt you much, but he also will not win you any leagues. Serviceable backend roster guy for innings in a pinch. (Jesse Roche)
2020-02-28 13:00:00 (link to chat)Hey Jesse thanks for the chat. Can you rank these four pitchers for the back end of a rotation in a deep categories league please, Jordan Yamamoto,Spencer Turnbull, Brad Keller and Tyler Beede, they all have nice pitchers parks to call home, and all seem pretty similar, any insights .Cheers.
(boatman44 from Liverpool)
(1) Yamamoto, (2) Keller, (3) Turnbull, and (4) Beede. I think Yamamoto could surprise. His stuff is sneaky good. (Jesse Roche)
2020-01-24 13:00:00 (link to chat)In a 24 team dynasty league that has 12 pitching categories I can keep only one of Folty,Brad Keller, Porcello or possibly Colome , though he would be my only closer at that point,What you got for me? Cheers.
(boatman44 from Liverpool)
Mike Foltynewicz easy. Highest upside and strong finish to 2019 with 2.65/1.08 ERA/WHIP over 57 2/3 IP in the 2nd half. (Jesse Roche)
2019-09-11 13:00:00 (link to chat)Hey Craig, Trying to sort my keepers for a 24 team dynasty league while everyone else is watching football ha! Would you keep Jonathan Stiever over any of these Josh James,Brent Honeywell,Shane Baz, Luis Patino or Brad Keller? Probably not in a position to compete in 2020 but hopefully 2021 is the year. Thanks!
(boatman44 from Liverpool)
I would not keep Stiever over any of them, no. Maaaaybe Honeywell but it's really hard to say at this point. (Craig Goldstein)
2015-06-02 18:00:00 (link to chat)You check out Kane county a lot – who's your favorite "lottery ticket" prospect on the team?
(Frito from The Chi)
Victor Reyes and Brad Keller. Reyes can really hit and Keller is a big lottery ticket. Ideal size, a fastball that he can cut, run and sink. Secondaries need work, however and the command is a ways off. But on that team those are my two favorite lotto tickets. (Mauricio Rubio)
